What make up goes with a bright yellow dress?

I have prom on Saturday and no make up artist. I have no idea what color make up to wear with a my bright yellow dress. Some help would be greatly appreciated. What make up goes with a bright yellow dress?
(I know how you feel 'cause I just got done with my prom... it's nightmarish lemme tell ya) Alright, first of all NEVER match your makeup with your outfit - it's an extreme fashion faux-pas, no matter what anyone says. Go with the natural shades that accent your best features - if you pound on the makeup too dark, it'll clash with your dress.

Here's what I would do:

Apply a soft pink or coral on your lid. Next, add a brown or bronze color in your crease to give the ';airbrush'; effect. Then, take a slightly darker pink or brown and shade it into the outer part of your lid. After that, use a highlighting color (not white or it'll wash you out) and place on your inner eye up to your brow bone. This makes you look more awake, and gives your eyes the extra light they need to sparkle. Finally, simply apply mascara. For a more dramatic eye, line the lid and inside line with liner (you could even go for a purple or green liner), and then you're done!

To complete the look, you only need a dab of light blush powder on the apples of your cheeks, and a natural shade of lipstick or gloss (but not both).

If you want, you could go with a deep red lipstick - but if you're going to do that, keep the eyes simple. You don't want to look too over-done ^_^What make up goes with a bright yellow dress?
Ok so here are my thoughts. I would keep things really light since the yellow is going to be the main focus. For the blush I would steer toward a nice plum. A pink would clash. I used a plum from bobbi brown that was fantastic. dont remember the name but look for a plum in the name. As for the eyes I would do a really light sweep of gold. It will blend the look really well. If you want you cuold do a dark plum eyeliner from a drugstore and a nice coat of black mascara. As for the lips--go for a plum shine so everything goes together! Good luck and have fun.
go with alot of bronze type colors and dont focus so much on the eye but more on the lip.

Don't match your makeup to your dress! It looks tacky unless you are a competition ballroom dancer - and even then, they wash it off ASAP after the competition.

Wear colours that compliment YOUR face and skin tone - try accenting the style you wear daily with a bit heavier mascara and perhaps adding a bit of gold dust (not sparkles) on your brow and upper cheek bones.

Gorgeous, sophisticated and not at all tacky.

So many girls go for the mask on Prom Night. Don't be one of them; be you, just a bit more polished.

Have a great Prom!
try to go natural. and add bright yellow to the outer of your eyelids to get a dramatic effect! its prom you have to go a lil dramatic and be unique!

:D

good LUCK!

and have fun at prom!
Hun, you should try to put on natural kinds of make-up on ur face 'cause unnatural kinds of make-up will make ur face less attractive. Also try lip gloss instead of lip stick, the lip gloss will make ur lips moist and shiny instead of dry-looking. Oh! don't forget to add a accessory to that beautiful dress with matching shoes, P.S. buy shoes that's the most comfortable and cute 2 U 'cause U don't want 2 stop dance'n with ur cute date or ur BF.

Tip #1: If ur gana wear red lip stick instead of lip gloss please don't use a red lip stick color it will stand out too mutch trust me 'cause did that and she looked a little weird.

-%26gt;%26gt; Do not read Tip #2 unless ur bringing ur BF to da dance %26lt;%26lt;-

Tip #2: U know when I said,';P.S. buy shoes that's the most comfortable and cute 2 U 'cause U don't want 2 stop dance'n with ur cute date or ur BF.'; make sure that ';cute date'; better be some1 u like, not some U just took 2 da dance just because every1 bought a date.

One last thing have fun %26amp; plz don't think that the prom the most important day of ur life O.K? :)
I'd go for natural shades, varying from dark to light. This way they'll highlight your feautures without competing with the color.

If you go with color, perhaps a a light charcoal look or gold.
if you have fair skin, then you could go with the exact same color as your dress. if you're unsure about that, go to a department store in the mall and ask them to do your makeup for you.
