Make-up?????

im going into high school this year and i want to start wearing make up but not too much just enough for my age. so can u tell me what the basics are,the brand, the price, and how to use them.

plz help!!!Make-up?????
If you are young you will not need foundation, you could probably get by with a black mascara ( maybelline ) and some clear or pink lip gloss , maybe a bit of blush to add color to your cheeks.

Whatever you do don't overdo it , natural beauty best comes out with less , than more!!!

Good Luck!Make-up?????
Thanks and Good Luck ! Report Abuse

rimmel london is great i'm 17 and i love it. if you want natural easy make-up follow the basic 5!

*wash your face before you put on make up and when you go to sleep

1. tinted moisterizer with spf- its like a light foundation a good one is from neutrogena $8 i think

2. blush from rimmel there sheer enough to look natural about $3

3. eye shadow as a liner from rimmel [to do this, dip the sponge applicator in water then swipe with the color then going as close to the lash line as possible, dab up rather than side to side $1-2

4. lip gloss from rimmel they are tack free and sheer $2

5. mascara either from maybelline or max factor about $3-5

these are perfect for high school since they easily fit in your purse and easy for touch ups
the first step is the base/foundation.

use an oil free base, so it doesnt break your face out. the base goes all of the over, it helps hide blemishes and uneven skin tones. to apply i use and sponge, put a little bit on the sponge, dab it all over you face, dont rub.

the next step is powder

the power helps keep the base in its place and helps hide and shine your face might have, and helps it from being as oily through out the day.

the next step is eyeshadow

eyeshadow comes in all kind of colors. the rule for eyeshadow is to never match it with your clothes, pick a color and stay with it for a while. i change my eyeshadow colors seasonaly. you also should pick an eyeshadow that goes good with your eye color. Blue eyes-silver, turquoise or even fuchsia. Green/Hazel eyes-brown, apricot, purple, plum, deep khaki or forest green. Brown eyes-copper, bronze or brown to accent the brown eyes.

the next step is eyeliner

there is liquid and pencil eyeliner. liquid eyeliner are really messy and take a lot of practice, not great for somewho who is just starting. pencil eyeliner is much easier to apply. you should use a thin eye right above the upper lashes and bottom lashes.

the next step is mascara

mascara brings out the lashes and makes the eyes. i would recommend a mascara with a primer and a mascara. a primer is basically a white mascara that goes on first and helps open your eyes more. after the primer is dry you apply the mascara. you dont apply the primer on the bottom lashes tho.

the next step is blush

you only need a little bit of blush. you dont even have to use it in the summer time. it looks more nature in the winter time, cause your face has more of a red tint on it. you only need to apply the blush on your cheeks, dont go crazy or you will end up like a clown.

the next step is lips

you can use a lip liner, in my opinion it makes your lips for defined looking. but dont pick and really dark color, pick a color that matches your lipstick/lipgloss, or even your nature lip color. the lip liner even helps the lipstick/gloss stay on better. you but the lip liner at the edge of your lip. it also helps your lips look fuller if you have thin lips. next you should apply a lipgloss (since your in highschool) but a light pink color, they look really pretty. just apply on your lips normally.

now if you need any extra help ask your mom, or someone that has experience with make-up, you can even go to local places that sells make-up like merle norman for example, and they will give you a free make-over and talk you through the steps. i hope ive helped.
eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara. I like Clinique because their products don't destroy my skin. If you go to one of their stores, they'll show how to use each product, and they'll show you what products and colors are best for you. If you really want to wear make-up, no matter what kind of make-up it is, make sure you don't use too much and make sure you get it all off before you exercise or sleep.
Well it all depends on the brand as far as the price. I would say start off at Walmart. Find some nice lipgloss colors that suit you and maybe a mascara. If you wear mascara that will make your eyes pop and you really won't need shadow or liner.
i wear eye shadow mascara and sometimes liner sometimes i wear blush too. with ur eye shadow do a sort of light color all over your eye lid and then a darker color in the crease. to line them u can line them on the inside or outside of your eye i normally do the inside though pull ur eye down and do it right above ur eye lashes and do the same on the top. then i think u know how to put on blush and mascara. i get mine from avon walmart or target sometimes those are the cheapest if u go there i get bonnebell or loreal ocasionally i get maybelene. my favorite is mac or anything at sephora. lancome and este lauder are also good u can get them at herburgers macys nordstroms although anywhere but walmart target and avon gets to be like 20 dollars per eyeshadow so it really expensive hope this helps
The first rule of makeup should be to make it look natural and enhance what you have.

It mainly depends on your skin complextion:

For fair skin tones, use pastel shades of eyeshadow, avoid black mascara (try brown), and use light pink or even translucent lip glosses or it would appear unnatural. Pink blush below the apples of your cheek will make your cheekbones look more inset, looking delicate which matches light skin.

This also applies to blondes with blue or green eyes.

For medium skin tones (lightly tan, brown hair or eyes), brown OR black mascara is okay, pinks and bolder colors look good, and you can wear a more forward pink lip gloss. Pink blush on the apples of your cheeks brushed along the angle of the cheek bone all the way to your hairline gives your face more structure.

For darker skin tones (tan or dark skinned), metallic shades of eyeshadow look good. Hot pink and shimmery gold, metallic blue/green/purple all match the skin tone. Blush shouldn't be used on you and dark mascara if any is okay.

Good brands to look for: L'OREAL Paris, Maybelline, CoverGirl, and Revlon are all great brands located pretty much everywhere and are okay priced.
maybelline makes a great foundation that blends really well and is sheer so you dont look like youre wearing tons of product. its called superstay silky. maybelline also makes define a lash mascara that doesnt clump. use just one coat to bring out eyes. swipe on a little lip gloss, tinted if you want a little color. and thats it. keep it simple.
You will need 2 kind of mascara. A waterproof kind, and the kind that comes off. On hot sticky days you will want to wear the waterproof because your skin will get oily and it will wipe off. I get Revelon Fabulash Waterproof and I get it for around $6-$7 depending on where. And ALWAYS bring make-up remover no matter where you are. Also q-tips to wipe under your eyes. just put mascara on the tips and wait until it dries.. then run your finger lightly across the tips to sepatate the lashed. Wear lotion with sunscreen before doing this. It will keep your skin hydrated and healthy forever. The sun shouldnt ruin your skin. Eye liner is fun but it takes LOTS of practice. This usualy costs under 6 dollars. And of course get Softlips lip balm. I swear by it! Its only 3 dollars and its fantastic. Then some light pink or even a nude color lip gloss. I just got maybeline and i cant remember how much it was but its awesome too! I hope this will help you. and have fun with your make-up
Mkay, well for starters, don't try to wear eye-liner! Lol, that is the worst thing you can do when you're first starting to use make-up! Once you get the basics down you'll be fine, but until then I would wait.

First of all, you need to find a good foundation or powder. I would use something like CoverGirl cause it's so smooth and it blends well. I use CoverGirl TrueBlend cause it matches my skin tone the best and it doesn't cause icky break-outs! It's normally just $7 and it works really well.

Secondly, when I was just starting with make-up I used Bonne Belle eyeshadow and I love it! It comes in beautiful colors and it's just some of the best eyeshadow I've ever used. It also comes in almost any color you can imagine and you can get a quad (4 colors) for like $3.99 at Walmart. You probably won't need mascara but if you want to use it, there's this great LashExact mascara that's waterproof (and I mean REALLY waterproof!) and it doesn't clump. It's a great mascara and it's only like $5-$6.

Third I would just start out with a light blush that is maybe a peachy color without looking too pink. You can find a really pretty one to match your skin tone probably anywhere you go.

Lastly, start out with a shimmery lip gloss that smells really nice. I know it sounds silly, but chances are if it smells nice then it will probably taste good too. I use Bonne Belle lip gloss too and it's still cheap and they have beautiful colors!!!
well this is going to be long...

for starters you'll want to stay away from foundation and eye liner.

when i first started wearing makeup all i wore was eyeshadow, lip gloss, mascara and sometimes a little bit of blush.

don't wear anything really heavy. or dark.

and if you really want to wear eyeliner stay away from the liquid kind its hard to apply if you don't know what you are doing. if you don't have a really steady hand only wear eyeliner on your bottom lash-lines. especially if you wear black eyeliner

i use covergirl eyeliner. but if you're on a budget try NYC

all of their makeup is low priced

don't pick a lip gloss that is very dark...and i wouldn't recommend lipstick. you can get lip gloss as cheap as 2.00 but if you want better quality try covergirl or rimmel. those usually range from 4-7 dollars depending on where you buy them.

eyeshadow is really the easiest makeup there is. use colors that are close to your skin tone.

mascara is pretty simple too. just be careful not to poke yourself in the eye with the brush (I've done that a few times) and put on two coats. if you are planning on getting wet. or crying or something wear water proof mascara.

applying makeup is really simple once you know what you are doing. experiment with new things every once in awhile.
wear it natural, if its too much then it wont look good. try sephora or drug stores, they have good makeup. sephora is expensive though. i recomend like target or walmart that usually works. lightly apply it for the natural glowy young look. you know: eyeliner in the corners on top and bottom lid, black light mascara, brown eyeshadow. and lipgloss! lol
Don't wear foundation. Wear a little bronzer-- apply with a large brush for some color. Put on a little lip-liner and gloss. And put on some mascara. That is enough to enhance your natural beauty. Guys don't like girls that wear a lot of makeup.
how old are you? if you arent 16 or over i would just say wear only lipgloss and thats it.
ok well this is going to be long

SO first i went to high school last yr, so i wear a light foundation, depending on your color but they have hundreds. GO to target, walmart, cvs, sephora, walgreens ext... and choose a color. Choose a non oil kind i like maybelene or however its spelled its really smooth, and gives me a natural look but also a shine and tan. Also go with a black mascara, it brightens your eyes. Those can be from 5.00 to 25.00. Also a cute lip gloss, shiny and cute
