when i was younger i was never taught how to use make-up products and now that im older i would like to use them... Where can i start to learn to use products correctly?Make-up???
Here are some great tips: http://www.thebroadroom.net/daijo/fobb/s鈥?/a>
I'd say that you should just wear natural-looking makeup. That means black or brown eyeliner, mascara, (but not blue and other crazy colours) skin tone coloured eyeshadow and light blush. Lipstick is not in style anymore, but lip gloss or lip softener looks great! Good Luck!!Make-up???
read the back of the makeup label it should tell you
go to any cosmetics counter in a dept. store
avon is always good. just dont go to department store make up counters, ya kno the ladys always tryna give people makovers. 1/2 of them come out looking like clowns!!! jus remember sublte is always better. the only thing super dark should be your eyeliner and mascara
When i started wearing makeup @ 15 my mom took me to Clinique they help you, when they give you the tips %26amp; put the makeup on you %26amp; look refreshing. It looks that you don't have any on but you do.
If available in your area, go to a major departments store, like Dillards or Penneys. They have people in their cosmetics departments that will do makeovers, typically they just do one side of your face, but they will give you tips on application, colors best suited for you and products for your skin type. You don't have to purchase from them, typically their prices are very high. Experiment on a weekend when you have plenty of time to play, see what looks good. I used to wear the expensive brands, but found that Loreal and Revlon are just as good, look better and cost much less!! Todays look is natural, soft eye shadows, soft colors on your cheeks. Don't over do it with the eye shadow and blush. I prefer a loose powder to finish off my makeup, it will make your makeup last longer during the day and seal of your foundation and you can reapply later in the day if you are feeling like your face is ';shining'; too much!
magazines. or go to a departmetment store like macys, if you go to the mac table they will help you get a good look and teach you how to do it
Go to the MAC counter at your local Macy's. Those girls really know their stuff and will help you look cool (instead of making you look like your great-aunt Thelma). They can give you a glam, rocker, sexy or fresh faced look and the the best part is that they tell you how to do it, so you can repeat the results at home!
Good luck!
P.S. MAC requires that you buy $40 worth of products in order to get the ';free'; makeover. I don't find this a problem as I usually buy whatever colors they use on me, but if you are short on cash, try Sephora. I believe Sephora gives free-free makeovers.
Department stores like Macys or Nordstrom, Sephora has good help too
hoe you find what youre lookng for!
You can always go to a makeup counter, make an appointment with a makeup adviser and see what products they recommend. Choose a makeup adviser whose makeup you like, because their face is their best advertisment.
You could also buy makeup books.
Good ones:
anything by Kevyn Aucoin, Laura Mercier or Bobbi Brown
for starters.
I don't know how old you are so as a disclaimer, ask your parents first. Now that's out of the way. You can go to a couple of places like Sephora- It's a mecca of all things beauty. They have people there that can not only show you how to apply, but colors that would go with your skin tone, eye color, and hair color. Give them a call first to see if an appointment is needed and make sure you let then know that you would like a complete consult. Bring a few bucks to buy a little somethin' somethin', since their consults are complimentary it is always nice for them to see you walk out with lipstick or something so they don't feel as used as last years flip-flops. Prices range from about $5 and up.
Then there is always your local Macy's cosmetic department, but can be a little pricey if your young. My Mac gloss alone is $12.
Remember always keep your makeup age appropriate and most times less is more. Above all have fun with it!
