What is the tradtional chinese make up like?

I am going to a chinese theme party and I have no idea what to wear - make up wise. Please could I have some links to sites with pictures or the idea in writing. What is the tradtional chinese make up like?
have you seen Gong Li's make-up in Curse of the Golden Flower? That's pretty much traditional chinese make-up. eyebrows that fly upwards at the end, cat-eyes eyeliner, and cheeks and red lips.

and u are set :-)What is the tradtional chinese make up like?
It depends what kind of theme party you are going to. I have found two different types of themes.

A basic wear, you can achieve this by applying a light base of foundation, covering up blemishes with a coverup, bronzer on the corner of you're face going in towards the apple of cheek, a smokey eye look and red/pink lipgloss. Here is the look:

A more traditional chinese theme would be to use white foundation on the face setting it with with white powder. A reddish pink eye makeup which streches from the inner corner of the eye outer like a tear drop, finish the look with red lipstick. This look can go highly wrong, but when done properly is very beautiful. Here is the look:

Hope I helped!
