My 14mnth old has a barking cough, have been to the gp to get her checked over and she is fine, apart from the cough.

My question is, does anyone have any natural remedies?

1 teaspoon of clear honey %26amp; 1 teaspoon of lemon mixed with warm water makes a nice soothing drink.

Yeah, she is probably still a bit young for the honey. Babies don't develop the enzymes to digest honey for a while, and eating it could be harmful, even deadly. Have her drink lots of water, hydration will help to loosen up an congestion of mucus so that she can cough it up. You can use a humidifier or vaporizer in her room to help. Good luck to you and the little one!
BEe (LOL) careful. Not all kids can tolerate the large sugar complexes of honey, but if you know it's OK with yours, then go for it. The honey will help you child drink more, that helps loosen up the phlem, and makes it easier to cough up. .
I heard its REALLY not a good idea to give young children honey... although maybe thats for smaller kids.

All you do is mix lemon juice and honey in equal parts and heat in the microwave.
