What are good characteristics that make up a good criminal lawyer?

I have had my mind set on becoming a lawyer since I was little but I am beginning to second guess it. The reason being is that I dont know if I have interest and what it takes to become a good lawyer. Can anyone tell me characteristics that make up a good lawyer. What are good characteristics that make up a good criminal lawyer?
You must be very thorough and good attention to details. In other word, very very observant and meticulous. What are good characteristics that make up a good criminal lawyer?
If you are referring to a criminal defense lawyer, then you have to be able to put aside your feelings about the client being guilty or not guilty. Because your job will be to defend the civil rights of the accused person, not the fact of whether he or she committed the crime. For example, if a person commits a crime but the law enforcement violated his civil rights somehow, such as not following procedure correctly, it could cost them the trial. The criminal walks free because his civil rights were violated even though he may have raped or murdered someone. You have to live with that.
ambitious, charasmatic, quick-witted, efficient, thinking outside the box, able to put oneself in another's position, intelligent, unrelenting, sympathetic, honest, willing to take risks, and must seek justice at all times. that's who i would want to protect the world from crime.

How do you make make-up stay on longer?

I wear a primer, concealer, foundation, and blush. Its flawless the whole day unless I have gym. So any tips on keeping make up on through sweat? Sometimes I reapply but it's hard in school because there is hardly ever time. How do you make make-up stay on longer?
To make your foundation last longer, before you put on anything, you could try a matte serum, like one from smashbox. It works pretty well to keep your skin hydrated, not oily, and shine-free for several hours. also, you could use some translucent powder on your face after applying the foundation. If it's loose powder (which stays on longest) use a large brush, and try to apply it without even touching your skin. Dab the brush with a fair amount of powder, and sort of just shake, or sprinkle the powder on your face for a matte look. And also, you can use oil-blotting sheets if your skin starts producing excess oil, like after gym. Yes, even when you wear foundation you can blot your skin with these sheets, (toilet seat covers are also good for this) and still have your makeup on while being able to remove excess oil. Just remember not to wipe your face with the sheets, or brushes or anything. How do you make make-up stay on longer?
One idea would be to just wear a tinted moisturizer before gym and reapply your makeup after it. Your makeup doesn't actually 'absorb' into your skin , it evaporates, although a tiny amount does kinda sink in a bit, evaporation is usually quicker in those with really oily skin or those who sweat alot.you could try using a moisturizer for oily skin , followed by your primer, n then a foundation for an oily skin type, make sure its a colourstay one (revlon have a really good one) and then a dusting of a colourstay pressed powder (revlon also). Using a colourstay powder over ne foundation will make it last longer , but colourstay over colourstay will provide you with the best wear. Take the powder with you for touch ups , this will also help control shine. Most makeup is available in a colourstay formula nowadays, so stock up on them. Avoid non-waterproof mascaras and only use a little bit. ope this helps :)
i have the same problem.

i find that re-applying is best,

but if it can't be done then there

are some things you can do to help:

-get good makeup.

-avoid touching your face.

-powder.

and also there is this spray i'm sure you could find at places like sallys beauty supplies or wherever that you spray on and it keeps your makeup on and doesn't clog pores, unlike hairspray which can cause breakouts.
yeah, i have gym too in the middle of the day, its hard. i know that if you brush eyeshadow over eyeliner, it makes it last longer. if you brush a transclucent powder over your foundation sometimes it lasts, but not always
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
What I think that make-up could be on you longer is by putting on dark make-up and not light also another way is to use alot of it. Dont buy cheap make-up too
I heard spraying hairspray on your face before applying make up helps it stay longer.

Or try a moisturizer or face primer.

Ye makeup absorbs really quickly. Just flaunt your natural stuff when you sweat it off. Get waterproof, or just be pretty without makeup... it's easy.

What is the best mineral make up out there?

Which one has the best coverage and stays put the longest, especially on someone whose T-zone gets oily less than an hour after applying make up? All I hear about is Bare Escentuals, but a guy I talk to all the time at Sephora swears up and down that Urban Decay's is the best. I've tried Neutrogena's, but it doesn't do diddly as far as coverage goes. Oh yeah- before someone says ';it doesn't matter what kind, you have to stop your skin from getting oily first';, I do everything possible as far as washing and prep goes. My skin looks splendid for the first hour or so after washing etc- soft as a baby's bum and clear as can be, but by noon I'm sunk. Both my dermatologist and aestician who waxes my 'brows claim that some people are just like that, and I'm one of them. *Shrug*. Thoughts? What is the best mineral make up out there?
Some people don't like how certian makeup feels on them. All you have to do is try different makeups. What is the best mineral make up out there?
Korres has a fantastic products for all skin types, they released a new make up range as well. Their products are all natural and contains no silicone, mineral oils or propylene glycol. All of the above clog your pores, plus their range is all dermatologically tested and made from 100% natural ingredients. try them out i'm a total fan of their stuff.
Bare Esentials are the best for coverage use the small brush to conceal. You can buy a face lotion called Stay Matte ask your sephora friend for matte facial lotion this will keep your oil undercontrol. I think neutrogena sells a version of it.
Arbonne has a powder that keeps you oil-free all day!

It keeps you blotted!

Besides, if you ARE that oily, just think--people with oily skin have LESS WRINKLES!
MAC Cosmetics is the best, in my opinion. I always moisturize my face, then put a primer on, and then put my makeup on after that. It stays on all day. The primer help the makeup stay on.

Urban Decay is also a good brand, but I've never tried bare essentials (though I've heard good things about it).
Arbonne has a couple products that would work great for you. I too have the oily T-zone problem. These are the best products I've come acrossed. They have an under make-up powder compact and then used the mineral foundation over top. It blends beautifally and then all you need to carry with you is a poweder compact and lipstick/gloss! If you would like to know how to get these products at 35% off contact me at sunnyside_64@yahoo.com. Good luck!
I think, first of all, you need a new dermatologist and/or aestetician...someone who has a little interest in how you feel about your problem. After all, YOU are paying THEM. Some people ARE oily, but it can be worked on! I use BE regularly, and I am t-zone oily with dry cheeks. I have very good luck with BE, it lasts a long time on me, usually all day unless I'm messing with my face, you know, hands spread the oil. There's also little blotting papers you can get to take up some of the oil, victoria principal has some great ones, and I think there are some you can get, like in drug stores or walmart type places. When I was much younger, my oil problem was even worse, and I used these things religiously. If you go for BE, make sure you also get their 'multi-tasking bisque' which covers ANYTHING. I've used it on a fresh zit and got coverage, and the zit didn't get worse, either. Good luck!

What is the best mineral make-up that is also good for your skin?

I'm 15 and want to try wearing make-up and heard mineral make-up is the best. I have dark skin and want to know what mineral make-up is the best and also not expensive. What is the best mineral make-up that is also good for your skin?
Bare Escentuals is the most popular. But my favorite is Beauty From the Earth. Their foundations are less shiny and have more coverage and their shadows are waaaay more pigmented.

http://www.beautyfromtheearth.com/store/鈥?/a>What is the best mineral make-up that is also good for your skin?
There really isn't any true mineral makeup. All things in life is a chemical of sorts. So there is nothing that is the ';best'; for your skin.

Any makeup will react different with your skin than with others. What works for me might not for you.

So I suggest checking out online tutorials, online makeup blogs, and online review websites.

Does an employer have to make up a waiter's wages if tips are subpar?

I work at a restaurant in Illinois. The location that I work in is notorious for the amount of people below the poverty line. Anyways, I make $3.15 an hour from the employer, and everything else from tips. However, during a seven-hour shift, I usually only make about $15, if that. Does my employer have to make up for my wages? If so, does anybody have any reliable source to back them up? If not, how am I supposed to live?Does an employer have to make up a waiter's wages if tips are subpar?
Nope. You would need the labour laws for your state/county. You should be able to find that on the state's website or in the library.

You find a job else where. No one is forcing you to work in that specific location.Does an employer have to make up a waiter's wages if tips are subpar?
You're being underpaid, assuming you're 18 yrs old. From the Ill. Dept. of Labor website:

What is minimum wage for tipped employees?

$4.50 per hour. Tipped employees must be paid minimum wage, but an employer may take credit for the employee鈥檚 tips in an amount not to exceed 40% of the wage. For more information, click here. 820 ILCS 105/4 and 56 Ill. Adm. Code 210.200.

So bare minimum, they should be paying you $4.50 plus tips, and while I find the rest confusingly written, I think it implies your final pay should be at least $7.50 (the current minimum without tips), which would mean they could have to make up your tips.
yes, but only so that you make minimum wage- so if minimum wage is $5.85 %26amp; they pay you $3.15 an hour, you work a 7 hours shift, you need to make at least $18.90 in tips. If you only made $15, then they owe you $3.90.
I would hope not who says you haeve to work there. go to work for someone else.

What are some fun non make up sleepover activities that 13 year olds can do?

My mom won't let me do makeup and hair at sleepovers so what are some fun things for 13 year olds to do? What are some fun non make up sleepover activities that 13 year olds can do?
When i was 13 and had sleep overs we used to play twister. Its fun when you play with 5 or 6 girls at a time. Then we would pop popcorn, watch scary movies, truth or dare, we also played a came call consequences.

Here's how to play

Consequences .

Basically you have a piece of paper each and you write down one line of the story and the fold it over( so you can see the line) and pass it to the next person.

1) a male name (famous or school teachers are good)

2) female name (ditto)

3) where they met

4) what he said to her

5)what she said to him

6)what the did next (made out went scuba diving etc)

7) the consequence( the got married and had cats or brought as teapot and went to live on mars)

Make a circle of chairs, one for each person minus one. Then pick a person to be ';it'; they stand in the middle. Have each person sit on a chair. Then the person in the middle says something (ex. you have a ponytail) and whoever that statement applies to moves one seat to the left- even if someone is sitting in it. I think my party record is about 16 people on one chair, it can get really rediculous but its soo much fun.

hope this helps

What are some fun non make up sleepover activities that 13 year olds can do?
Jewelry Party

Making jewelry is lots of fun, especially when it can be personalized, and 13 year old girls love jewelry. Visit your local craft store, and buy various colors and styles of beads and jewelry cord. Separate the various beads and supplies in large muffin tins in the center of a table, and the girls can make wrist bracelets, ankle bracelets, and stylish necklaces.

Cookie Decorating

Decorating cookies is always fun, and 13 year old girls can have fun decorating and personalizing large cookies at a sleepover party. Before the party, bake triple-sized slice and bake cookies of any variety. Provide the girls with tubes of colored frosting, sprinkles, dried fruit, edible decorations, and cans of whipped cream. Besides having fun decorating their cookies, they'll also enjoy eating them!

Pizza

Instead of ordering pizza or making frozen pizza, how about setting up a pizza bar? A pizza bar is perfect for 13 year old girls at a sleepover party. It consists of biscuit dough for the crust, pizza sauce, and dozens of topping choices. Each person can press out their own dough to make personal pizzas and top them any way they like. This way everyone gets exactly what they want, and they'll have fun too!

Pillowcase Decorating

A sleepover party for 13 year old girls is ideal for decorating pillowcases. Buy inexpensive pillowcases and permanent fine-tip markers. You'll also need a thick piece of cardboard to place in the middle of the pillowcases so the marker doesn't bleed through and ruin the other side. The kids can use the pillowcases for friend's autographs, and they can draw hearts, flowers, butterflies, rainbows, and anything else they can dream up.

*

You can also get a bunch of movies with your favorite actors and just watch them. I don't know how you fun you would think that is.

Or, go bowling or to a water park. I can't really think of anything else.
play games like:

sardines (like hide and seek but one person hides and the rest find. when a person finds the hider, they hide there until every1 is there. the last person is the hider next.)

murderer in the dark (1 person is the detective, 1 is the murderer, and the rest are victims. the detective leaves the room and the rest turn off the lights and roam around. the murderer tags ppl and the ppl fall down when they're tagged. if u find sum1 on the ground u yell ';murderer in the dark!'; the lights go on and the detective comes in and has to guess who the murderer is.)

card games (kemps, spoons, uno, bs, etc.)

truth or dare

would u rather (same as truth or dare but u say would u rather and then give 2 choices)

watch movies

have fun!!!
Plenty of creepy movies available about a group of 13 year old girls alone in a house with a bloodthirsty serial killer/werewolf/zombie lurking in the attic/basement/abandoned house next door during a storm/blackout/police strike. Make sure it's a re-enactment of a true story rather than just some hollywood fiction. Also helps if one of the girls is herself psychotic or at least anxiety-prone. A boyfriend who tries to sneak into the party is handy to have around. They're usually the first victim
if its more than 2 people try doing cool levetation tricks to creep you guys out ;) watch scary movies then after that turn out all the lights and play hide and go seek.. go swimming..play truth or dare..make up a fun fear factor game or something..have a fashion show with the weirdest clothes you can find. the possibilities are endless :)
Truth or dare, prank phone calls (maybe), simply talking about cute boys/girls at school that you like, anything! Rent some movies, read magazines, eat junk food, listen to music, paint your nails (unless that falls under makeup..)

The possibilities are pretty much endless!

Have fun!
gossip and play truth or dare... get ur friends to spill on who they like and then call the guys for a little chat with all of you... like no acting waay immature... but sound cool, giggly like ur having a fun time, get be obscene and a bit flirty. HAHA.

Scary stories omg!

Prank calls with waay funny accents. Pretend to be someone whose dailed the wrong number with this obscene coversation.

Movies... scary and chick flicks!

Make wierd food... screw about in the kitchen and put food coloring in everything to make green eggs and stuff.
Here, first of all is what FUN is, according to me. This will actually give 13-year olds some GREAT ideas!

FUN is:

F--******* up PETA

U--United States Anti-Communist Road Trip

N--Nuclear Bombing the **** out of RUSSIA!!!!!!!!!

That is what FUN is!!!!!!!!
omg-osh ur mom is lame wow die tht the best bet idk play dollz lol or video games or chat or do make up nd%26amp; stuff but wash it off b4 u go homw or idk 14 nd%26amp; its sad i kant think of sumffin u do --im a guy i dnt rlly kno wht gurlz do
watch movies, play on the computer, make bracelets for each other, do fun crafts like decorating t-shirts with fabric paint, and dance to some good music.
You can decorate old clothes and make them cool. you can also listen to music and dance around like a rock star. XD.
Play truth or dare lol. Its soooo much fun :) Pop some popcorn, get some sweets and watch a chick flick. Talk about boys lol. That's always fun :[)

  • What is the tradtional chinese make up like?

I am going to a chinese theme party and I have no idea what to wear - make up wise. Please could I have some links to sites with pictures or the idea in writing. What is the tradtional chinese make up like?
have you seen Gong Li's make-up in Curse of the Golden Flower? That's pretty much traditional chinese make-up. eyebrows that fly upwards at the end, cat-eyes eyeliner, and cheeks and red lips.

    http://thecia.com.au/reviews/c/images/cu鈥?/a>

for chinese theme party, just do ur make-up similar to the above, put ur hair up in tight bun, and put on a qipao dress like this

    http://www.goodorient.com/images/P/GDR11鈥?/a>

and u are set :-)What is the tradtional chinese make up like?
It depends what kind of theme party you are going to. I have found two different types of themes.

A basic wear, you can achieve this by applying a light base of foundation, covering up blemishes with a coverup, bronzer on the corner of you're face going in towards the apple of cheek, a smokey eye look and red/pink lipgloss. Here is the look:

    http://images.jupiterimages.com/common/d鈥?/a>

A more traditional chinese theme would be to use white foundation on the face setting it with with white powder. A reddish pink eye makeup which streches from the inner corner of the eye outer like a tear drop, finish the look with red lipstick. This look can go highly wrong, but when done properly is very beautiful. Here is the look:

How do you make make up look natural even if you use eye liner?

I want to wear make up but look natural. I want to look pretty but not over exaggerating with eye shadow and lip stick. What kind of make up should I use and how should I apply it? I know how to put make up on it's just every time I do it looks like i'm an Avril Levine wannabe. How do you make make up look natural even if you use eye liner?
You are probably using the wrong colors. Lighter colors and neutral shades usually look more natural. Try a brown eyeliner instead of a black and a lipstick shade that is closer to the natural color of your lip but a few shades darker with a clear gloss over it.How do you make make up look natural even if you use eye liner?
For eyeshadow, choose a nude look. It's very simple, but it compliments the eyes. Choose creamy/nude colors for your lid, corky/brown/espresso colors for your crease and make sure you blend it out too, and vanilla colors for the high light.

For eyeliner, natural and simple, create thin lines, not thick. You might want to try a brown or grey eyeliner. It's a more natural effect.

I'm not sure for my suggestions if you want inexpensive make up or high end make up, so if you want to know, feel free to e-mail me.

    jthizzellll11@yahoo.com
lol if it looks like your an avril levine wanna be then you have too much eyeliner on. just dont apply so much. i think if you wear a bit of eyeline and mascara is just fine. and if eyeline is too dark you can wear a dark shadow on your bottom eyelid and at night wear eyeliner. blush is also good, but not so much...
use a white eyeshadow or any natural shades for eye shadow

as for eyeliner, try a white pencil, it really looks clean, natural and beautiful. Use mascara but use a lengthning or volumising mascara to bring out your eyes. As for lipstick, use a pale pink or nude colour. will look gorgous!
Its very easy to look natural, even when wearing make up. I put on very minimal eyeliner (but not all around my eyes, as I'd rather not look like a raccoon.) Besides that, I put on a little bit of concealer then some blush on my cheeks.

    Thats all I do.
try either one of these videos

What should i do for make up with my fair skin and brown eyes and hair?

I am just going into middle school this year and I want to set a good first empression. What should I do for make up? What make would look best with my light skin, dark brown eyes, medium brown hair and freckles? What would make my eyes really stand out? What should i do for make up with my fair skin and brown eyes and hair?
i'm 12, i have light skin, medium brown hair and brown eyes too. i found out that darkish purple looks really good on my eyes. get an eye shadow that is a dark purpley wine color and use that as an eye liner. do an eye shadow thats a little lighter purple, or do a light pink color. for blush use something rosey and pink, but not bright neon pink, that would just look 70's-ish, if you know what i mean. :)

go with a light pink glossy lip color or just plain chap stick.

have a good first day of school!!What should i do for make up with my fair skin and brown eyes and hair?

okayy. i'm sorry. but when you start middle school, you don't wear makeup. i started in 7thhh, and i'm going into 8th. but whateverrr.

and if you have a pimpleee?

    concealerr!!

    eyeshadoww is a nono!

    (i think)

    it looks too fake.
Umm, you're going to middle school eh? I think you stay away from facial make up. You would be surprised a facial moisturizer does. I would say wash your face with a very nice cleanser, one that gives you that natural glow...I recommend positively radiant or clear complexion foaming facial wash both by Aveeno. Then add a moisturizer. After that, add a nice shade lip gloss, I would recommend Loreal's gloss in soft nude, it's a pinkish color. This way, you'll look classic and won't begin wearing make up to much. Pulling your hair up also adds to the radiance to show off a beautiful face.

Also, don't try to hide your freckles, those can be the most radiant thing about your face.

Hope this helps a tad bit!

What is the best foundation make up for oily skin?

I have really oily skin which is acne prone. I do use ProActiv. I currently wear bare minerals, but it makes me look cakey and super oily. Colorstay has good coverage but breaks me out. Does anyone know what foundation and powder will be good to use? What is the best foundation make up for oily skin?
I have super oily skin too. I use ';Workout Makeup'; foundation by Clinique. And when it gets really bad, like in the summer, my favorite secret trick is to apply solid deodorant to my face.

You'd think it would break out my face because it clogs pores, but it doesn't. Actually it seems to prevent pimples. But you'd have to test it yourself. I use Secret Solid in Powder Fresh scent (not the Invisible Solid because that irritates my armpits, so I see no reason why it wouldn't irritate my face).

I discovered deodorant on my face because I noticed that many oil control skin care products have clay in them, and if I'm not mistaken, aluminum zirconium is another way of saying ';clay'; except it's a manmade clay because of the other things it's bonded with.

I apply it underneath my foundation and the oil and shine control lasts all day, even overnight. Even workout foundation isn't enough shine and oil control for me. Some people just need more I guess.

I also wash my face twice a day with Lancome Gel Pure Focus ($24!!!) it's the only cleanser that makes a dent in the oil. Watch out, it will be very very drying for someone who has only minorly oily skin.

I use super fine baby powder instead of powder for my face because it simply has more talc / cornstarch in it. Of course, my skin is very fair, so it looks OK. Your mileage will vary.

Those are the ';big guns'; I use, so you may be able to take care of the problem with less harsh products. Good luck!

What is the best foundation make up for oily skin?
I also use ProActiv and they have a product called Daily Oil control and moisturizer called the Oil-Free Moisture with SPF 15. It works really well and my face doesn't get oily during the days. I use MAC's Studio Fix and it has really good coverage. It comes it a lot of shades and doesn't make me break out or look cakey. But you can always use oil blotting sheets if you get oil during the day.
I have the same problem and I use to use proactive and I am also currently using bare minerals and it also leaves my skin looking cakey and oily. I bought skin id and my skin is not as oily anymore. You should replace proactive with skin id. I works great on me and if you enter the code neutrogena10 you get $10 off your purchase.
i don't know what your budget is but neutrogena has a make-up line so that may work, or if you are willing to spend a bit extra go to the estee lauder counter at your local department store i.e. macy's, dillards and they have a line for oily skin as well. since you have sensitive skin try to look for products that are for sensitive skin and are hypoallergenic.
I loved Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. I had to stop using Proactive on my oily skin because it was causing my skin to become ashy.

Now I use the tips that I posted on my buzz blog to take care of my oily skin.

    http://buzz.prevention.com/community/sin鈥?/a>

use a azn rice powder to take off the oil and then use a foundation primer the you can use your bear minerals and that should help
Don't use it. Unless you REALLY need to. If your skin is very oily and prone to breaking out then most cover ups will do this to your skin.
Try Perfectly Real foundation from Clinique its $20 but it lasts forever!

How should i do my make up and nails for a masquerade ball?

I have a black and white dress with a white mask with black and gold. Please help! Thank you!How should i do my make up and nails for a masquerade ball?
your nails should be bare or french - so it looks classy and doesn't distract from your gorgeous outfit and mask.

The eyes should be all out. I'd recommend smoky eyes with a bit of white glitter on the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye (to show through the mask) and like a pp said: maybe some fake eyelashes if they aren't too big too mash into the mask. Gold makeup and a black %26amp; white dress will clash. just like you wouldn't wear gold jewelery with this dress - you'd automatically think silver or white gold. a little on the mask will be okay - cause hey - it's a mask!

the cheeks should be almost bare with just a touch of peach or rose, depending on your coloring. Good luck and have a great time! How should i do my make up and nails for a masquerade ball?
hmmm white eyeshadow(sparkly) with a bit of eyeliner %26amp; some gel/fluid/liquid eyeliner (on the top lid) with some fake eyelashes, or mascara that works really well

    FOUNDATIONS

    * Revlon Colorstay for Normal/Dry Skin Makeup with SoftFlex -- it is a little more expensive than your target (it is $13). However it is really good for dry skin, it is very blendable and it gives you pretty good coverage. However, the packaging is not great and it can get messy.

*The other option I thought fit for you is Max Factor's lasting performance which is actually more within what you want to spend ($8). It lasts forever, it goes on really smoothly, it does not dry up your skin.

I would choose one and try it out to see what you think (remember everyone has different skin reactions to makeup, so you will have to try some out before finding the perfect one, but hopefully one of these two will be it or really close to it.)

    CONCEALER:

    * Revlon ColorStay Blemish Concealer: It looks natural, gives you good coverage and you will only need it for problematic areas.

    POWDER:

    * Maybelline's Dream Matte powder: It eliminates shine for hours. Packaging is pretty cute too! And it really helps provide an airbrush look! What is the best drugstore make up for people with dry skin?
    superdrug, boots, even tesco!

do a weekly moisturising face mask, that should help.

my favourite foundaition ever is collection 2000 colour match, its great and oil free, it doesnt dry it out or make it oily.

concealer i like 17's cover up, and MAX factor under eye concealer. also, No 7 translutant powder is very good.

    (sorry about spellings!!)

    good luck!

Revlon Colorstay for Normal/Dry Skin is great. It's a little on the expensive side, but it controls your skin while giving you light to heavy coverage.
Mix it with your moisturizer. That way, you won't have to buy a new foundation, but it won't dry out your skin.
Have you considered mineral makeup? Use a good moisturizer too.

What is the best face make up when spending the day by the pool?

I use sheercover mineral make up and that seems to sweat off easily. What would the best be for sensitive skin for outside? What is the best face make up when spending the day by the pool?
The best make up for a day by the pool would be a tinted moisturizer. It will give your face a little color and a tiny bit of coverage. It also allows your skin to beathe and when water hits it, it will not bead up on your face like a heavy foundation or a powder would. It goes very unnoticed. There are tinted moisturizers with a light SPF in them so it will provide some sun protection but will allow you to get a tan. I do want to stress though that it will provide LITTLE coverage. If you are trying to cover blemishes or color imperfections, it will not do that. All it does is even out skin tone and give your skin a little color. Heavy make up in the summer is VERY noticable and does NOT look at all natural. Tinted moisturizer is your best option. If your looking for cheek color, try a gel or a cream blush. They are great. Eye shadow should be a gel also. Use waterproof mascara-no eyeliner. Use lip-gloss as opposed to lipstick. Keep everything light and natural-looking. No dark colors or smokey-eye. it will sweat off or come off in the water and run down your face. Use natural skin tones like bronze, pinks, peaches and nudes. Laura Mercier has great tinted moisturizers and liguid cheek colors. Clinique has great gel shadows. Lip gloss and waterproof mascara get those at a drug store. Hope it helped! What is the best face make up when spending the day by the pool?
If you are going to go swimming, the best thing I could suggest is not to wear make-up at all. You see, when you wear make-up out in the sun, it prevents your face from tanning. This basically leads to your face being pale, while the rest of your body got a nice tan.

I have heard about waterproof make-up though but I've never used it myself. When I KNOW I'm going to be spending most the day out in the sun, I only wear sunscreen and lip balm or lip gloss. I also scrub my face really good with my daily cleanser before I leave since I know I'm going to be sweating all day and I don't want to pile dirt on top of dirt.

But yea, I say the best thing you can do for your skin is to let it go bare when you are going to have a day of fun out in the sun. I mean, when you are out and about in a pool or BBQing, you aren't there to look pretty or hide blemishes from people. You are there to relax, kick back, and let your hair down...right?
Use a facial moisturizer with tint in it.... it doesn't have to be a normal shade of your typical coverup, but it's good to let your skin breathe, and it's less you will have to worry about while swimming. I'd go for a moisturizer with tint in it, OR opt for nothing on the face except some bronzer (powder) if you want to look a little sun-kissed. Waterproof mascara, and some spf chapstick!
If you're just going to be outside, and not in the pool, then wear a longwear foundation like Loreal's ';Infallible'; line or Covergirls ';Outlast'; line. Rimmel London makes a good inexpensive one called Lasting Finish 16 Hour Foundation and another one with lighter coverage called Cool Matte 16 Hour Mousse Foundation.

Always top with a pressed powder if you're going to be out in the heat.

If you are actually going to be in the pool, you can't really wear anything but waterproof mascara and waterproof eyeliner. yes, they make waterproof eyeliner now!

Don't worry too much about your makeup at the pool. Don't be one of those girls that won't get in the pool because of their fear, ';Oh no! We can't go in! Our hair might frizz! Our makeup might melt!'; Just remember- no one can look perfect in the pool (except airbrushed models). Apply your makeup after you get out and embrace summer!

good luck. Hope i helped [:
I always use Revlon ColorStay Active foundation during the summer, it's not totally waterproof, but it's pretty resistant to sweat, sun, and water. I used it when I went to an amusement park this summer and we went on water rides and all and the makeup didn't really smear off or rub off badly. Plus it's super cheap!
Probably not a liquid one, that wouldn't be to pretty when wet. Theres not really alot of options because when ur face is wet, water is HOW you wash ur makeup off so just try not to get it wet, get one with suncreen in it tho..i dont think they sell water proof face makeup...only mascara
    I really don't know.

I guess you could mix some mineral powder into your sun lotion and rub that all over your face.

I've never tried it before but it sounds like it would work...

What make-up tips would you give for this costume?

My friend is having a fancy dress birthday party, and I thought to myself I always look rather dull and boring so why not do something where I can look really amazing. So I have decided to go as a rainbow kid. What make-up tips have you got for some amazing colours?

Ok ive had this experience wat you do is wear blue or pink mascara also when it comes to eyeshadow wher red blue white green and purple in an order it looks awesome go as high as needed wear blue eyeliner and you will look so awesomeWhat make-up tips would you give for this costume?
if you have got small eyes go for a Little shade of eye shadow this brings out your eyes and a dark shade for big eyes /medium.go for the bright colored big bangles and a nice scarf in you hair that Marches your shoes best if its a plain color although your going for the rainbow look if its blue scarf go all shades of blue and if its red all the shades cos too much color you might be mistaken for a clown
That sounds like fun :) I'd definitely recommend Stargazers' Rainbow False Eyelashes, They are very dramatic and scream for attention!

But if not, I sometimes use a bold blue mascara and eyeliner with a matte orange eyeshadow. It sounds wrong, but looks soo funky.

I think you're options are quite possibly endless with this one... ^_^*
blue and pink eyeshadow. blue mascara. pink lips.

I think that looks best with a black dress. Since you already have a red sash, I would recommend going for a nude lip instead of a red. What make up is recommended for a long black dress?

for your eyes either a purple or a pink! it would look great! with a little bit of bronzer and not too pink lip gloss (for places the mac counter is the BEST and maybe for the lip gloss smackers (or mac))

What make up would look good on my skin tone and eye color?

My skin is pale and I have dark blue eyes, what colors would look good on me and any tips on eyeliner? What make up would look good on my skin tone and eye color?
NEVER wear any form of blue eyeshadow. It is the tackiest thing alive. The best look for any color blue eyes is gold. You should definitely get a gold eye pencil and just highlight the inner corners of your eyes. It makes your eyes pop and look even bluer. Even Lo off of Laguna Beach said so a few years ago. Try it! :)What make up would look good on my skin tone and eye color?
maybe a little bit of black eyeliner. make it thin though, not thick.

and a grey or light blue eye shadow would be good. =]

  • What make up colors bring out dark green eyes?

Including eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara colors : )

If it makes any difference, i have a very ruddy colored face and dark blonde hair. What make up colors bring out dark green eyes?
I use a light brown eyeliner on the bottom, a thin line of soft pink or purple eye-shadow under that, purple eyeshadow on the upper eye, gray/pink eye-shadow above that, and black mascara. It sounds like a lot, but if you use soft colors it looks super good. And your eyes pop out. I have green eyes and use this quite often. Obviously I change it up, but in general I go for that when I want my eyes to stand out. What make up colors bring out dark green eyes?
For eye shadows try different browns, especially chocolate tones. Browns and dark greens with copper or gold highlights are also a great choice.Apricots and taupe's good choices for highlighters.Dark purples, plums and metallics . Coppers and golds will make a really glamorous evening look for green eyes. I personally really like the way deep purples look with dark green eyes. For eyeliner try steely grays or chocolate browns. Use gold or white to open up the eye if your eyes are small. For Mascara try brown or black.
Shadow: Pink, Roses, Purples compliment green eyes beautifully and will really make them pop.

Eyeliner: Go with a dark purple in the evening for more of a dramatic look. Chocolate brown will work very well for daytime.

Mascara: I'd go with a brown/black during the day and Black at night again for dramatic effect.

    I hope this helped.
I would say corresponding colors.. Such as other greens, yellows and blue.

Best foundation and make up to make ur face looks like Nelly Furtado on her video clips?

What brands u think best for foundation and compact to make ur face looks like Nelly Furtado on her clips? And best brands for eyeshadows that looks creamy? I really love Nelly's look so much! Btw, what do you think of the brand Sisley from Paris?Best foundation and make up to make ur face looks like Nelly Furtado on her video clips?
Do some research. Look up the makeup styles, find different products and get reviews -- www.makeupalley.com is a great place to start -- and then practice.

It's going to take a lot of trial and error before you find what works for you, but remember, you may not suit that particular cosmetic style. Unless you've got a neutral face that really takes well to makeup, my suggestion is to forget it and just educate yourself on what looks great on you. But, if you want to achieve this style, start researching. Not all foundation works on all skin types, so asking this question is honestly a moot point. Inevitably, you're going to have to do the work yourself.Best foundation and make up to make ur face looks like Nelly Furtado on her video clips?
its just good lighting plus a ton of foundation
no matter what make up you buy you'll still look like you.

How to make a made up math formula official?

So a few year ago I discovered a formula pretaining to math and it really works every time. It is legit!!! But how do I make it count? Is there a way to register it?How to make a made up math formula official?
Excellent question. What you can do is write it up in TeX or at least as a converted PDF file and post it to http://xxx.lanl.gov/archive/math. this is the website that physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists and even some biologists and engineers post their pre-prints to. It will be the best way to establish that you had obtained a certain new result by a given date, and the community of researchers will be collectively apprised of it.

Now, for the more complex part. For your result to be ';official'; you have to publish it in a peer-reviewed journal. For it to be accepted to a peer reviewed journal, not only does it have to be correct, but it has to be original and contribute to the field in some way. What kind of equation did you invent? Does it meet these criteria? If you are in school, ask a professor in the math department about publishing it. You would also be well advised to ask him or her about the validity and usefulness of the equation as well.

Good luck to you and I hope you enjoy a lifetime of mathematical research. How to make a made up math formula official?
That's depends: what does your formula do? Is it useful? How did you discover it? Are you sure no one else has already discovered this formula? or found a different way of computing what your formula computes? Have you written up a full mathematical proof that your formula works for all cases instead of just a finite number of cases that you have checked? For a formula to be accepted by the mathematical community a full proof is needed, not just a claim that it works. If I had more information I could better advise you, but If you think that what you've found will make a significant contribution to Math, I would suggest you first consult a Math professor who can then advise you of whether or not to seek publication.
Well, I've never heard of a Patent Office for math. Or science, for that matter.

But new discoveries are made every day, in math and the sciences. What normally happens is that the discoverer writes up his or her discovery--what was the problem, how it was solved, what was the result, and so on. When others read the writeup, they have the chance to try it for themselves and see if they agree. If everyone agrees, the author can be proud of the accomplishment. If others find a flaw, they'll say so and send the author back to work.

You might want to write it up here! Do it carefully, so there's no confusion due to spelling or grammar. And the people here can review it for you. It's not quite the same process that might happen at the university level, but we'd all like to see your discovery!
You might want to go to some major mathematics association. Sorry, that's all I can think of.

What make up works best for those busy days in the hospital?

I work in a hospital and it can get very busy. I don't have time to reapply makeup esp. when I don't even have time to sit down. I have very oily skin. The only makeup I use is a Neutrogena bronzer and Maybelline mascara and eyeliner, but by noon time my face gets shiny and oily. What can I use (only Neutrogena products please) to last me all day with little or without much touch up?What make up works best for those busy days in the hospital?
i work long shifts at a restaurant in the hot %26amp; humid south. the only make-up i've found in over 25 years, that doesn't melt off is bare minerals by bare escentuals. it may be more pricey initially, but the 25.00 foundation lasts me about one year, the mineral veil finish lasts equally as long. try it out for yourself at any ulta, sephora, macy's, or nordstrom store, to see, how it works for you, before making a decision. What make up works best for those busy days in the hospital?
light and airy like sheer cover ( expensive ) but if you want something cheaper .... COver Girl true Blend is good
Neutrogena has a sunscreen that is called Dry Touch. It doesn't melt or get oily. Try using it under your bronzer and see if that helps.
you should really get away from neutrogena and try youngblood or color science. its mineral make-up (wont clog pores) stays on and applies so good. plus in between applications you should get some face blotting papers at the body shop.
First you need to be using something that is oil-free and has an SPF in it. Try the clean and clear morning burst shine control facial cleanser. It's oil free and it also comes in a moisturizer. Then try Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation and loose powder. It doesn't require a lot of touch up. It's also oil-free and has a SPF of 20.

What kind of make up would make my green eyes stand out?

People tell me my green eyes are beautiful so I want to know what makeup would make them stand out?Like what color eyeshadow, eyeliner,%26amp; mascara would make my eyes pop? What kind of make up would make my green eyes stand out?
Well, first of all those people are right! Green eyes are gorgeous, and more out of the ordinary.

So, to make people notice this distinction, it's true, opposites attract.

Eye shadows: For daytime you don't want to overdo, but any browns or taupes with gold fleck or even a little green will look amazing. For a more dramatic look, play with PURPLE. Purples and eggplants are your new best friend. You won't believe how your green will pop!

Eyeliner: For daytime, a charcoal gray or brown liner will be best, and you can do black at nighttime, but if you play with bright colors at night than don't let your eyeliner get too heavy.

Mascara: I don't usually recommend colored mascaras - they can look too cheap, but if you do get one definitely choose a shade of purple. Otherwise, just stick with a quality black that won't clump on you.

Hope this helps! :)What kind of make up would make my green eyes stand out?
I have green eyes, and I always wear dark brown eyeliner - it makes the green more obvious than black. I'm blond but with long eyelashes so I use black mascara to make them stand out as much as possible.

Shadow-wise, i've found that lots of different colours work (not all at the same time!) like lime green, browns, purples, pinks and greys.

Maybe go to a chemist (or ebay) and get one of those huge palette collections so you can experiment, because it probably also depends on your skin tone, hair colour and what shade of green your eyes are (mine are more hazel-green than bluey-green, with orange around my pupils).

    Have fun!
Browns and greens for eyeshadow....and highlight with coppers and golds. Also, plums and metallics look really good. Try to stay away from blues and colors that have blue undertones.

Eyeliner......black goes with every eye color. Best with green eyes are chocolate browns and steely grays.

Mascara....black or brown, either one would look good.....I think the brown would look the best though.

Hope this helps!!! I have plain brown eyes....wish mine were green!
    really bright orange

they say to use eyeshadow thats on the opposite side of the color wheel from your eye color.

so reds, pinks, those kinds of colors.
Brown is really pretty with green eyes .
For the best contrast to make green eyes pop: Anything in shades of purples %26amp; plums. And hotter shades of pinks.

Black liners or dark plum... black mascara.
warm colors like red or orange or maybe even pink

I had one in Las Vegas and one back home.. .I have two different counters in LV the ORIGINS counter did my make-up and it was AWESOME plus the consultant did a really great job and everyone was really nice! At home ELIZABETH ARDEN has a professional from NY come and I sceduled my make-up with him.. It was equally as awesome.. BOTH gave me totally different looks! I would have the person do a ';dry'; run so you know what you want.. I had my make-up done not too long ago and I HATED the way the person did it I looked like a drag queen!

MAC stall at Macy's. They have the highest quality eye shadows with a great variety of colours. Their makeup artists really know what they're doing and will be able to assist you in any way.
I go to saks (i live in manhattan) to the bobbi brown counter, trish mcevoy or nars. Ye it kinda matters whos doing it, not the actual store.

I have dark brown hair, light brown eyes and a tan. Which color should i wear so that my eyes stand out and what type of hair colour suits my eyes and my tan? What make-up and hair colour suits me best?
    either :

gold eyeliner with a smokey eye

    or :

black? plum eyeliner with a bronze eyeshadow ;D What make-up and hair colour suits me best?
You would want to stick to warm, earthy tones. Not blues, unless they have more of a yellow or green hue to them. Otherwise blue will make you look washed out.

Golds, Olives, Bronze, Burgundy, and maybe even Copper would work really well.

Avoid contrasting colors like black, white and very vibrant jewel tones as these will wash out your skin because these colors are all better suited to someone with a cool skin tone.
purple eyeshadow and eyeliner and black mascara and keep ypur hair color the same
yellow and blues would stand out

Aww you seem so cute. Anyways I think bright redish lipstick and light colored foundation with blue eye shadow(to match your eyes) would be cute. What make up colors are good with strawberry blonde hair?
    light colors like pastels
stay with pinks and light reds and anything light and colorful like that.

you sound so sweet and fun.

    good day and be cool.
My hair was recently dyed that color by ACCIDENT, believe me, I was at every make up counter in town trying to balance my face colors and my hair. I don't know if you own make-up already or not so I'll just cover all the bases.

I don't think any one color just ';goes'; with strawberry blonde hair. I think it's a process based on the colors you already own or like and blending them with new tones to create a look that's still you, just more complimentary.

First, you want to dig out all the colors you love love love and elimnate the ones that match your hair. Second, you must determine the hairstyle and what part of your face you feel is most ';washed out'; by your hair color. Third you want to push all the pinkish/orange shirts you have to the back of the closet as to not overwhelm passers by.

Once you have done that, its easier. (Always wear a black shirt when trying out make up colors). If your style focuses your eyes (short, cropped hair) then try to off set the color by using your bright fun colors, think rainbow, apply the brightest color on the lid and blend into a dark crease for night or blend a neutral color for day. Always a pale version of that color under the brow. (with your eyes I would say Green) neutral lip.

If it focuses your lips more (Mid-length, bob hair) then try to off set the color by blending a darker liner with a natural gloss, something that will pop, be sure to blend and highlight the middle of your bottom lip with a goldish gloss. (I like MAC's spring bean and cork lip liner but that may be too dark for you) For day, I would say a nice neutral liner (MAC cork) and a pale gloss that has color (not pink, or orange).

    And finally, if your hair is long, choose what you want to accent and go with the ';suggested guidelines listed above';

    Happy Make-Up Shopping
Okay, normally if you have strawberry-blonde-ish colored hair, I would suggest pastels and light colors ranging in the pinks to maybe the blues. But since you are not that pale, you would probably look good in some chocolates or if you don't like that, try some golden colors or olive-ish greens. -wink- Have fun!

How to make your make up look natural?

I just got a job at a store which demands that you have no make up on and if you do it has to inhance your natural features.

What are some make up tips/ways i could have VERY natural make up, but still improve my image. How to make your make up look natural?
Simply stick the basics. I would avoid all but skin-tone eyeshadow (while that sounds strange, it's a major staple in my makeup bag. It makes my eyes look even bluer and makes my eyelids more evenly colored).

Mascara seems like it would still be only, but try applying it simply to the ends of your lashes to give them color but not make the clump.

Eyeliner is a good choice, but keep it very subtle. In fact, you may want to try simply doing your upper lids to give your eyelash line a little more thickness and just skip lower lid lining all-together.

You could experiment with lipgloss rather than lipstick. Rather than putting color on your lips, just enhance their natural color and give them a little shine.

And last but not least! Just use cover up and a loose powder to set it. I'm a huge fan of the covergirl cover-up sticks (they look like lipstick but are skin tones) and Bare Minerals to go over it.

Just focus on making your eyes pop without using colors around them. Everyone loves eyes. ^_~How to make your make up look natural?
hmm.. i would say if u have nice skin, u can get away w/ just a pressed translucent powder for shine. if u have blemishes, get a concealer that matches ur skin well and only apply that in troublespot areas.

then, u can try a light eyebrow powder on eyebrows to shape the face..but not too dark or it will be obvious. this is optional... but really helps frame a face, esp when no makeup involved!

for eyes, u can get a pencil eyeliner, probably in black, gray or brown, and DOT in between the lashes (so as CLOSE to the lash line as possible so it's not too visible, but still creates a dark lash line for your eye to stand out). try tilting ur head back and looking Downwards into the mirror to see lashes clearly.

mascara, u can do either clear mascara or a brown/black, and an eyelash curler. in fact, the curler itself can be enough if u don't want to wear too much obvious mascara

a light stain can be used for cheeks and lips... they have them at sephora, and is rubbed into the skin so it doesn't look too heavy like gels or powders. u can also use it for lips i think... Tarte and Benefit has good ones

    good luck! :)
Foundation/base is a must, which you should use a very neutral blush with, just so you don't look washed out or sick. Add a little brown eyeliner and mascara with maybe a hint of a neutral brown/gold/tan eye shadow on your lower lid and a champagne lip gloss and you should be good to go...
While there are rigid rules when it comes to foundations, it is with your eye color that you can allow your creative side to take flight.

Your eyes are the focal point of your face. Be sure that your eye makeup techniques and choice of colors are most flattering to your eye shape and color.

With eye color you can create the illusion of new shapes and sizes. Always keep in mind that light colors highlight and dark colors shrink or recede.

Powder eyeshadows come in singles or color coordinated duos, trios or quads. Try to find eye shadows that are highly pigmented. Simply put, you want the shade you see in the container to be the color you see on your eyes.

When applying eyeshadow sweep the lightest shade over the entire area from lash line to brow. This shade will be your base color and is to your eye, what your foundation is to your face. It will hold your color and prevent creasing.

After applying your base color, apply a medium shade on the lower lid. This is the part of the eye that most women apply eyeshadow. Blend into your base shade.

A third color can then be added. Use a deep, dark shade to create depth. Apply this shade along the lash line, and at the outer corner of the eye, emphasizing the crease of the eye and brow bone. Blend well. This is your accent shade and when used can create a more defined eye.

How you apply this contour shade can help eyes look bigger, smaller, wider set or closer together. The key is to blend so well that attention is still drawn to your eye, not your eye makeup.

For eye shadow that looks “just applied” for hours, first, base your eyelid with a neutral concealer which closely matches your natural skin tone. Next, apply a neutral shade of eye shadow or a color nearest your skin color over the concealer. The process of the powder adhering to the cream will create a smudge resistant base for your eye shadow. It will last forever.

Really high quality powder eyeshadows can be used wet or dry. Dampen your brush or applicator and create your own liquid eyeliner in any vibrant eyeshadow colors. Wet application of these eyeshadows serves to intensify the color.

Cream eyeshadows are the newest kids on the block. Avoid formlations that crease upon application. These cream eyeshadows can be coordinated with your powder shadows. A cream eyeshadow can be used as an under base with a matching powder shadow as a sealant. The best applicators for any cream eye shadow are your fingertips
Tinted moisturiser;blusher,1 coat of mascara and lip gloss. This gives you a groomed look without looking made up.Don't you hate these silly rules?
I would really like to know what kind of store this is.

You might try a bit of lip gloss, then blot. Same with using mascara on just the tips of your lashes, then blot. Use a moisturizer instead of foundation.
hmm just wear some shimmery skin toned eye shadow and blush! it works wonderfully!
If foundation makes your face look cakey, I'd try some tinted moisterizer (Cover Girl is my fav). Lipgloss for shine (not color) and mascara. If black mascara looks too harsh, try brown. :)

Use the cover girl mascara... I can't think of the name but it is in a purple bottle. It's very natrual looking. Oh, and try brow powder.. You can get both of those online if your too shy to buy it in the store.
idk the answer to your question but i can add something to Cammi Gs^^^

or instead of buying it online you could get a girlfriend, sister , or mom to buy it for you too. that way you wouldnt have to shop down the makeup isle.

  • What make-up would go best with a red dress and what jewelery?

I have got brown eyes and tan skin. My dress is red silk.

It is for my school dance and i what my eyes stand out. So could you please help me and on what to jewelery with it. What make-up would go best with a red dress and what jewelery?
smokey Charcoal eyes and just a clear lip gloss would be good and have fun. black jewellery xWhat make-up would go best with a red dress and what jewelery?
Don't overdo the make-up as the red dress is already very eye-catching and you don't want to look like you tried too hard.

Use plenty of black mascara and even false lashes if you want. Keep blush to a minimum and maybe use a light bronzer instead. For your lips, don't use a red lipstick to match your dress as this might look too overdone. Instead use a nude colour that stands out.

Jewellery-wise, maybe go for a nice bracelet in a colour that will match your shoes :)

    Good luck x
I had a red prom dress and I used gold eyeshadow and it looked amazing, especially if you have darker skin and use a creme eyeshadow it will look stunning, line under your lashes with the gold as well but do the inner ridge top and bottom with dark dark brown or black and lots of mascara, use light blush and either red lipstick or if you don't want your look to be quite so dramatic try a red tinted gloss. My dress had tiny pearls and diamonds sewn into it so thats what I wore as jewlery, maybe get a matching earrings and necklace set with red and white stones or whatever accent color you want.

I'm sure you will look fabulous have fun :)
Black eye makeup alway looks amazing with a red dress, and you should either have clear natural lips with sparkly gloss or if you are darring try for red lips ( close to the shade of your dress), try it befor hand to see what looks better on you...and for jewelry, if you can find good black costume jewelry that looks good.
smoky eye make-up will look good with red. red is a bold colour so you don't want to overdo it. tone it down with the make-up and accesories. black jewellery would work, just nothing too bright. :]
Go for green. Emeralds of choice but green beads will do fine.

What make up goes with a bright yellow dress?

I have prom on Saturday and no make up artist. I have no idea what color make up to wear with a my bright yellow dress. Some help would be greatly appreciated. What make up goes with a bright yellow dress?
(I know how you feel 'cause I just got done with my prom... it's nightmarish lemme tell ya) Alright, first of all NEVER match your makeup with your outfit - it's an extreme fashion faux-pas, no matter what anyone says. Go with the natural shades that accent your best features - if you pound on the makeup too dark, it'll clash with your dress.

    Here's what I would do:

Apply a soft pink or coral on your lid. Next, add a brown or bronze color in your crease to give the ';airbrush'; effect. Then, take a slightly darker pink or brown and shade it into the outer part of your lid. After that, use a highlighting color (not white or it'll wash you out) and place on your inner eye up to your brow bone. This makes you look more awake, and gives your eyes the extra light they need to sparkle. Finally, simply apply mascara. For a more dramatic eye, line the lid and inside line with liner (you could even go for a purple or green liner), and then you're done!

To complete the look, you only need a dab of light blush powder on the apples of your cheeks, and a natural shade of lipstick or gloss (but not both).

If you want, you could go with a deep red lipstick - but if you're going to do that, keep the eyes simple. You don't want to look too over-done ^_^What make up goes with a bright yellow dress?
Ok so here are my thoughts. I would keep things really light since the yellow is going to be the main focus. For the blush I would steer toward a nice plum. A pink would clash. I used a plum from bobbi brown that was fantastic. dont remember the name but look for a plum in the name. As for the eyes I would do a really light sweep of gold. It will blend the look really well. If you want you cuold do a dark plum eyeliner from a drugstore and a nice coat of black mascara. As for the lips--go for a plum shine so everything goes together! Good luck and have fun.
go with alot of bronze type colors and dont focus so much on the eye but more on the lip.
    yellow eyeshadow and liner

    pale pink lips

    soft cheeks
Don't match your makeup to your dress! It looks tacky unless you are a competition ballroom dancer - and even then, they wash it off ASAP after the competition.

Wear colours that compliment YOUR face and skin tone - try accenting the style you wear daily with a bit heavier mascara and perhaps adding a bit of gold dust (not sparkles) on your brow and upper cheek bones.

Gorgeous, sophisticated and not at all tacky.

So many girls go for the mask on Prom Night. Don't be one of them; be you, just a bit more polished.

    Have a great Prom!
try to go natural. and add bright yellow to the outer of your eyelids to get a dramatic effect! its prom you have to go a lil dramatic and be unique!

    :D

    good LUCK!

    and have fun at prom!
Hun, you should try to put on natural kinds of make-up on ur face 'cause unnatural kinds of make-up will make ur face less attractive. Also try lip gloss instead of lip stick, the lip gloss will make ur lips moist and shiny instead of dry-looking. Oh! don't forget to add a accessory to that beautiful dress with matching shoes, P.S. buy shoes that's the most comfortable and cute 2 U 'cause U don't want 2 stop dance'n with ur cute date or ur BF.

Tip #1: If ur gana wear red lip stick instead of lip gloss please don't use a red lip stick color it will stand out too mutch trust me 'cause did that and she looked a little weird.

One last thing have fun %26amp; plz don't think that the prom the most important day of ur life O.K? :)
I'd go for natural shades, varying from dark to light. This way they'll highlight your feautures without competing with the color.

If you go with color, perhaps a a light charcoal look or gold.
if you have fair skin, then you could go with the exact same color as your dress. if you're unsure about that, go to a department store in the mall and ask them to do your makeup for you.

If your not happy w/ Physicans Formula .. Try Everyday Minerals , You can order samples from their site , The samples are Free just pay shipping $3.00 - $4.00 ! you get 3 foundations , 1 blush and 1 concealer .. You choose your colors :) If your not happy at least you didnt have to pay a fortune on a product you couldnt use ?!What make up is good for sensitive skin?
You need a concealer to cover up things, then a light foundation. There are formulas for sensitive skin. Always look at the ingredients on the label. Try some natural products. Are you allergic to anything?

It's a case of trial and error really but you can sometimes get samples to try rather than buying full size products (and price) then if you don't like it you don't lose to much.

What make up should I use that can compliment my eye color?

I have fair skin with rosy undertones. My eye color changes; but it stays in the range of a foresty blue-green.

What color of eye make up should I use? Any recommended brands are appreciated. What make up should I use that can compliment my eye color?
I would say blues, they often compliment green eyes nicely. And it doesn't have to be flashy or over the top either. Something simple, like a silver-blue would be really nice on you. Purple would also be nice, often times I suggest that to my clients who are tired of wearing neutral day colors (like brown, gold, etc). What make up should I use that can compliment my eye color?
I used to always want to know the same answer when I was younger. Like you, my eye color changes from a blue to blue-greenish. The appropriate shade of eye shadows should be considered carefully with a few factors: your eye color, the color of your clothes and your Natural skin tone. For blue/green eyes your best bet is: brown, violet, white, toffee, caramel, gold and silver. You should AVOID eyeshadow colors with red or green hues in them. Also, with your skin color if you add a bit of peachy blush, and a lighter lip gloss, the effect will be glamorous. Hope this helps!
it would be nice to use dark colors since you have light eyes

also a nice foresty blue-green to compliment your eyes

like teal or aqua would be nice

but maybe like a dark teal or aqua

    that would look hott
Golds, browns, purples ( like a plum) and raisin look really good.

Am am 100% sure its a plum color, I have blue eyes as well. Nothing works better then a ';plum'; color, which is a shade of dark purple. You can get this in either shadow or liner, whichever you prefer.

You can get this at MAC, which is the best. And if you're still a bit sceptic that it'll work, ask the employees. They are so great! They know exactly what will look best on you!!

well i have blueish gray eyes and light pink colors make the blue really stand out. but i use alot of natural colors too. i think you should experiment with different colors because everybody's eyes are different and different colors look good on different people. it also depends on your complexion. i have really fair skin so pink looks ok on me but i can't wear like really dark eyeshadows. i hope that helps a little!! good luck!!

How do I keep make up and foundation from running off?

Every time I apply my make up and foundation the hot weather makes it run off. Are there any tips to keep my make up from running off?How do I keep make up and foundation from running off?
My mother would always apply a little bit of powder over her foundation. Something out there now that might work well for holding in the foundation is the Bare Minerals brand mineral veil. It has no color but will hold the foundation. How do I keep make up and foundation from running off?
Get a good moisturizer, and a good face primer, and also a good setting powder.

Since it is summer now, wearing liquid foundation is not recommended when you're going to be in the sun alot. Try switching to mineral makeup, since it last longer and can also absorb oils on your face. Or if you don't want to try mineral makeup, you can get a good tinted moisturizer.

But if you still want to use liquid foundation I suggest you invest in a really good makeup primer, like Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, expensive but works amazing, and you don't have to get the full size one, you can get the travel size one that can last you a long time, and you can buy those at Ulta or Sephora. Once you prime your face add a small amout of foundation at a time, and then build up lightly, don't over due it with foundation, if you apply heavy, it'll bascially melt off your face lol. After you apply your foundation, set it with a setting powder, and you should carry a blotting powder with you and touch up throughout the day.

    Hope this was helpful
If during the day, you start to feel your face getting oily or sweaty, use a Clean %26amp; Clear Oil Absorbing Sheet. These things are amazing. I use them everyday. They remove the oil, but don't smudge makeup.
Try to use liquid foundation. Apply evenly and wait for it to dry out. Then apply your usual make up like blush on and then apply some loose powder to make it look natural.
first off wash your face, then moisturize it, put on foundation primer and then apply your foundation. it always works for me
apply makeup lightly, and dust with face powder when you are done

it would be good if u use fountation cream at first. then go with powder. if the person is dark use a little more that the whiter ones. to make uniformity mix very little yellow powder sides of their nose. use good contrasting color for the eye shadow and lipstick depending their costumes. and red roosh in their cheeks will make them charming. use eye blue lashes to show off their eyes clearly. if the make up starts fading just add little powder and roosh time to time even lip stick

first I apply concealer around the dark areas. Then I apply my foundation and powder. finally to stop the rings being noticeable, I use black eyeliner and mascara emphasizing my eyes so people draw attention to them and less to underneath my eyes. Hope I helped x
i have the same problem. first i depuff the undereye area because i always wake up with puffy eyes. i use one by mark which you can find at meetmark.com. then i use a lot of moisturizer because my undereye area is dry and then use maybelline mineral power concealer in the lightest shade (1) because i have very fair skin, too %26amp; this matches perfectly. i tried it without moisturizer and it caked A LOT! it looks perfect with moisturizer though. i use a mark moisturizer as well called for goodness face and it is spf 30 because us fair girls burn super easily! i did this stuff for one eye only to see the difference and it was HUGE!!!! then of course i did the second eye before leaving the house haha because otherwise it would look like i got punched in the eye!

For eyes, I would say anything from an off white-greeny colour to the same colour as your dress.. I'd go for the paler option though, or the link below. And lips wise, I would use a nude shade.. maybe slightly brown.

    Hope this helps :D x

EDIT - actually, I think this video tutorial would look great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzh_elMaO鈥?/a>
It think too many women make the mistake of thinking the makeup has to match the dress in color, this makes for crazy-overdone eyes. What color are your eyes? Match *THEM*. With a formal eveing gown of green you can do greys, black and mute browns. Subtle and not over-done, that is what the dress is for.

I suggest you wear dark brown eye shadow, maybe you could do a smokey look. If you wear dark eye shadow, don't use a strong/bright color on you lips, go for a nude or natural color.

If you want to be more simple, highlight your eyes with a light beige eye shadow, specially your brow bone. Apply a light brown to the crease of the eye, and blend, then apply a lot of mascara, and eye liner to the top and bottom of your eyes.

  • What is the best make-up foundation for oily skin, that will prevent breakouts?

I am using Mary Kay foundation right now and my doctor told me that that can often cause the skin to break-out if you have oily skin. What is the best foundation to use? I already have Bare Minerals powder, which is really good on the skin. But is there any liquid foundations? What is the best make-up foundation for oily skin, that will prevent breakouts?
Really, the best thing to use is the mineral make-up. Liquid make-up contains chemicals and preservatives which are irritating to the skin, and even ones labeled as non-comedogenic (non-clogging) clog the pores to some degree which can cause break-outs.What is the best make-up foundation for oily skin, that will prevent breakouts?
So why don't you ask you Doctor what you should use if he thinks Mary Kay cause break outs I'm confused as to why he would tell you that and not tell you what you should do.

I would question him what is he talking about Mary Kay dermatologist and scientist would disagree. Med coverage was created for oily skin It is

    Non-comedogenic.

    Dermatologist-tested.

Have you had problems with break out since you started using it??? Try the mineral foundation but the important thing is a good skin care routine what are you using to cleans your skin and make sure you use an oil free moisturizer
go to target or walmart and look for loreal bare naturale. i have the powder kind but im pretty sure they haveliquid too. its really good for your skin because its mineral makeup and it have SPF 19 in it. its kinda expensive tho, but it is good.
if you can splurge, Chanel (the most amazing thing i tried on)

for a more cheaper option, Covergirl, it is actually pretty good, i have really oily skin so ya..

What is the best make-up foundation I can get at Target or a drugstore?

I need to buy a good quality makeup. I have combination skin so I need something that wont clog pores. Something that has a flawless finish as well. I am 32 years old. What is the best make-up foundation I can get at Target or a drugstore?
Revlon's Colorstay Foundation works beautifully. It goes on really smoothly and is often compared to MAC foundations. The only bad part about it is that it doesn't come with a pump, so it's harder to get from the bottle. This product comes in a lot of different shades, so it should be easy to find a good match. It usually retails for around $13 at drugstores.

Maybelline's Pure Makeup Foundation works pretty nicely as well. Since it's made of 50% water, it won't clog your pores, but it'll still provide decent coverage. It is oil free. This product costs around $5 at drugstores usually.

Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse provides a somewhat heavier coverage, but it still works well. It takes longer to apply, since it's a mousse (in my opinion, at least), but it works all right. It costs around $8.

    I hope this helps!(:

Good luck. What is the best make-up foundation I can get at Target or a drugstore?

I would highly recommend you go with loreal bare naturale.. it makes your skin look flawless.. very natural doesn't even feel like your wearing makeup.. and this product won't clog pores bc its natural..

also a tip.. if you go to RITEAID you can buy any type of makeup, try it and if you don't like it then you are allowed to return it.. so what i would do is try new and diff things.

with a combination skin you can check out the different type of make up products specially in foundation, you must use different type of foundation for day and night make up. In this way you can get best results for your makeup and skin.
I get (and LOVE) covergirl clean make up. it's a liquid. I also opt for the unscented one since my skin is really sensitive.

I don't like the idea of buying foundation or concealer in a drugstore because lighting is generally bad. I find it hard to find an actual match. (You can buy clinique foundation at dillards if your mall has it but it will cost you around $20, so it's a little pricy, but the person helps you find the shade and type for your skin, which is a plus)

Some good brands at drug stores:

l'oreal true match and bare naturale (mineral)

almay smart shade, any covergirl, revlon colorstay

you can really experiment with what is good with your skin :)
