As much as you like as long as none of it is liquid over 50ml.
Only limited quantities of liquids may be carried through security control as hand baggage. This includes bottled drinks, suntan lotion, fragrances, cosmetics and toiletries. The following restrictions apply to all liquids, creams, gels, pastes and aerosols taken through security control:

Liquid items may only be carried in containers holding up to 100ml.

They must be carried separately in a single transparent, re-sealable plastic bag.

The bag must be no larger than 20cm x 20cm (8in x 8in) and all items must fit inside so that it closes properly.

At security control the bag must be placed separately on the conveyor belt for screening.

Liquid items larger than 100ml should be packed in your hold luggage - otherwise they will be confiscated.

Of course what you buy after security?????
lets keep it simple

is it solid or powder - lipstick etc... ( as much as you want )

is it liquid based - mascara, perfume, lip gloss ( 1 bag size 20x20x20 with no individual item over 100ML)

there we go, easy
You can take some stuff in a plastic sealed bag, but not much. Also depends where you're going. See...
You can take any amount provided it will fit in the sealed plastic bag that is supplied at the airport, and each item has to be 50ml or less.

You can actually get quite a lot in the supplied bag so don't worry. I had a 46 hour, 3 plane trip to NZ recently so I needed all sorts of stuff in my hand luggage (including toothpaste, moisturisers etc) and it all fitted in just fine.
