i think you mean making a honey and lemon drink.. boil some water, mix in some honey and lemon juice.. and that should soothe her throat, but make sure its warm not scoalding hot(:

I wouldn't give her honey because it can cause botulism in this young of an age range they say to avoid honey. You can however brew her up some decaf herbal tea and give it to her and squeeze some lemon into it.Or at her age if you want a medicine to give her they make a toddler dimeatap that is for congestion or raspy coughs I gave it to my baby at that age and it helped or sometimes a cool mist humidifier helps a lot you can also take her into the bathroom turn on the shower as hot as it goes and sit in there with her. Also you can use baby vicks vapor rub on her or prop her up with a pillow.
please check out this link and it will give you direct instructions.

Just make sure your GP is happy with this as here in Ireland we dont recommend pure honey to young babies that havnt developed their teeth yet. Also is this still continues after 48 hrs of giving this remedy i would be taking her back to be checked for asthma and maybe an allergy test as this age is quiet common in young children to develop milk/lactose allergies. If you dont have a humidifier try putting wet towels in your radiators, %26amp; DO NOT TAKE A CHILD IN THE NIGHT AIR until you have her condition completely under control s cold night air will intensify her condition during the night. If you can i would also try steaming her in your bathroom if possible let the room fill with steam, but keep her well away from hot water. Take Care :)
Yes honey Helps but before doing anything, you need a natural honey to cure such a cough, here's a strategy to check if the honey you going to use is pure or have other things added on it ';like suger for example';, bring a glass and fill it with warm water, add a table spoon honey on it, and them mix it, a pure honey never mix with water, and always stay in the bottom separated from the water, and if it mix with the water, means it's not pure.

you know what to do~!
You've probably heard that extra humidity in the air helps. But if you don't have a humidifier you could always steam up your bathroom with a hot shower and sit with your daughter for 10 minutes to calm her bark down. And, if it is cool outside take her out there. The cold also helps. I don't know of any natural remedies, but honey and lemon cannot hurt unless the honey is unpasteurized.
My grandmother show me that a good remedy is to put some small pieces of fresh ginger to boil in milk, then take out the ginger, add some honey and drink it. The milk should be warm, not cold nor hot, remember to taste the temperature, you don't want your child burned. This is a very good remedy to stop cough. hope it helps

I also recommend applying some Vicks Vapor Rub, on her feet at night and put socks on, I have seen it work on Children and Grown Ups.
A plain spoonful of honey always works wonders for my little girl. Any honey will do but studies have shown acacia honey or buckwheat honey are the better ones for treating a cough.

Honey isn't recommended for children under a year and as your daughter is only just past this you might want to check with your GP/health visitor first.
