  • How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?

I have tried before and I look like a racoon? What are the best products to use and how do you apply them? How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?
I always put a white eyeshadow under my eyebrows, then grey on my eyelids. Afterwards I take a black eyeliner and I line my upper eyelids very thinly. I find if I make the line too thick, it looks very harsh and it makes my eyes look more ';puppyish'; instead of almond-shaped. Then I line the inner rims of my eyes with the black eyeliner. Aftewards I take black eyeshadow and either with an angled eyeliner brush or a wet cottonswab (Q-tip) I draw that triangle on the corner of my eyes. I fill it in with black eyeshadow and then put go over the black eyeliner with the eyeshadow to make it look more softer and the lines less harsh. I then take silver eyeliner and put some in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up. Then I finish with a lot of black mascara on both my top and bottom lashes. Remember when you do a smokey-eye look it is best to keep your lips a light colour - such as nude or light pink, or even just to use clear lipgloss. If you wear a dark or bright colour on your lips and smokey eyes, you will only look like a clown. How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?
    Things You鈥檒l Need:

    **Foundation

    **Dark eye shadow

    **Dark eye liner

    **Eyebrow brush or toothbrush

    **Tissue

Step1 Apply foundation to the entire face, including the eyelids and underneath the eyes.

Step2 Swipe a dark brown, black, charcoal or plum eye shadow to your lids using your fingers, starting at the lash line up to the crease. It's easier to smudge the shadow with your finger than maneuvering a shadow brush in such a small area.

Step3 Line the lash line with a dark shade of eyeliner. To make your eyes appear big and beautiful, start at the corner of your eye and stop about 戮 of the way across. Use your fingertip to smudge the line.

    Step4

Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Open the curler then clamp your eyelashes at the base of the lash. Hold for 10 to 30 seconds.

    Step5

Apply 2 coats of mascara. Allow the mascara to dry in between applications. Finish with an extra swipe on the outer corner of each eye to make the outer lashes appear longer and your eyes bigger.

    Step6

Comb your eyebrows. Using an eyebrow groomer or a toothbrush, comb the eyebrows up at the innermost corner then up and out along the thinner area.

    ****Tips %26amp; Warnings

    Fold a tissue in half and hold it under your eye to prevent eye shadow from sprinkling below the eye and causing ';raccoon eyes.';
A smokey eye can be tricky and can be easily mistaken for looking racoon-ish. MY fav is MAC cosmetics. I find that my best make up looks can be accomplished through MAC but you use what is comfortable and familiar to you.

For me, my eyes are naturally brown so to do the ';smokey'; look it does not take much and if i do it too dark it closes up my eyes...here are the colours i use and how i use them...

    I use 2 specific colours:

MAC: Shadowy Lady (matte), Shale (satin) %26amp; Phloof! (frost)

I start with the Phloof: this is a neutral and light colour and i put it all over the eyelid and the brow bone. I use this first as a base and work up the other colours. I use a large shadow brush for all over application.

With a stiff crease defining brush i start to lightly build up my dark colour Shadowy Lady. I put this mainly in the crease and work it out towards the brow bone. I layer it usually so that i can control how dark i have it. Also, if you start dark it is difficult to chage the look without taking everything off and starting from the beginning.

I then apply my last colour Shale all over the rest of the lid with a small shadow brush.

I go over with the shadowy lady again to define in the crease and i take a fluffy blending shadow brush to blend it evenly and softly out. I will touch up the brow bone with alittle Phloof! at the end.

Finally, I take a fine line eyeliner brush and apply the Shadowy Lady as a liner under and above my eye. This adds the dramatic look. If you feel you want to go even more dramatic line a dark blue or black eyeliner FIRST then set it wit the shadow liner. Use a pencil or shadow smudger if you want to and smudge softly to the outer corners of your eyes. Put on a black or soft black mascara, and if need be clean up any fallen shadow under your eye with powder foundation or fluff it off with a blush brush.

    I hope this helps.
Try MAC makeup, use their black eyeshadow or I use graphite paint. It looks really cool and its really pretty. You can't go wrong with MAC. Its trendy and sophisticated. They also show how to apply eyeshadow to make smokey eyes on their website. Check it out
or you can go to any make up counter and they can help you pick out the right shades.

i personally use eye liner and eyeshadow to create the smokey look. the eyeshadow is what gives you the smokey look tho
if you go to sephora, they can show you what colors look best on your skin, how to apply it, and what products to use. :)
yeah u use a smokey pencil eye liner aand darker shades of shadow.....and smudge the liner into the shadow but not completely though..

What type of eye make up looks best on blonde haired and blue eyed girls?

I look good with light purple, navy, or light golden eye shadow, and dark black mascara. I usually use very light black or no eye liner. I am a blondie with blue eyes and fairly tan skin.
I think purple or a strawberrish shimmer color looks good. I like brown eyeliner because sometimes black can make it look a bit harsh.

What is the best make up products for sensitive skin?

I love mascara and eyeliner, but yet my eyes get so sensitive to it and i break out. What type of make up would not cause bags underneath my eyes and dry skin? What is the best make up products for sensitive skin?
Physicians Formula is good. It's mineral makeup you can get at Wal-Mart, Target, etc.. If you are willing to pay a bit more at a department store, clinique makeup is awsome! I have very sensitive skin and eyes and both of these work great for me. :)What is the best make up products for sensitive skin?
In the case of sensitive skin, it is probably best to use natural or mineral make-up. Most of the common brands in stores these days; such as Loreal, Maybelline, etc; contain a lot of chemicals and harsh substances that may irritate the skin and cause break outs - it's usually why they are cheapest.

From experience, I think mineral make-up works best! It is made of 100% natural ingredients and it is so pure, that even if you don't wash it off; it will not damage your skin. I use i.d. bare minerals, which are a little more expensive but worth it. There are also some cheaper mineral brands too.

It also looks better than normal make-up because the minerals are absorbed by your skin, catch light and enhance your natural beauty without blocking pores or looking fake. Therefore, mineral make-up will not cause pimples or make you break out!

Hope this helps! Follow the link for the i.d. Bare Minerals site :)
Almay! Almay makeup is hypoallergenic, optometrist tested, and totally okay for sensitive skin.

If you have dry skin, look into a good gentle moisturizer, like Cetaphil moisturizing lotion, or Aveeno or Neutrogena.

Bags under your eyes can be caused by a multitude of things.. Make sure you are getting enough sleep and drinking enough water.
I'm the same. I'm not exactly an eyeliner-junkie, but I don't often go without it.

I found that using hardly any products made my skin better. However, at one point my eyes got so bad (the weather was making it worse, too) that I went to my doctor. He told me that the same thing that causes dandruff was occurring on my eyes. Urghh. So I was given this really mild dandruff shampoo to use on my face... and 'TADA!' It cleared up in about a week.

You may need to go to dermatologist or ENT specialist to see what you are allergic to. You have to be careful of the ingredients in the products you purchase. An allergic reaction can cause your life.
Mineral Power or any all natural mineral makeup. But talk to a dermatologist.
Ask your doctor, or dont wear that much makeup.

How do you wear make-up to get the classic, soft look?

I hate the trendy look, no offence. Pretty sick of all the glittery stuff.

I adore the classic look because it really does enchance your beauty and I want to get that look!

Do you have any ideas? I heard you have to wear foundation but I don't have one and not planning to buy one...

    Help me

Thank You!How do you wear make-up to get the classic, soft look?
get natural looking makeup minus the sparkle. i.e natural looking eyeshadow and pink lipgloss that is suitable to your skin tone. Loreal, maxfactor or revlon may have those types of products. How do you wear make-up to get the classic, soft look?
If you're going for the classy look, do NOT use lip GLOSS. That's for teenagers who want oily-looking lips. Use a shade of lip stick that matches not only your skin tone but also your outfit. Lip stain is also preferable. Report Abuse

I like makeup by Clinique. It goes on well, compliment the skin tone. Try natural lip gloss.
What do you mean by classic look?

Maybe you can try out the 40s and 50s pinup look. All you need is liquid eyeliner and red lipstick
Clique have this new moisturizer out, its got a slight an i mean very slight tint to it and its a moisturizer without the greasy effect, very light onn your skin. This is how i normally do my make up when i'm going to work or something. I normally just use the clinque moisturizer, with a shimmer blusher (17 bronzing pearls from boots/superdrug) and apply mascara. It gives my face a really natural looking effect. The moisturizer has just come out so pop into your department store and ask for a sample. That way you can try before you buy.
Use a natural-looking tinted moisturizer, a little brown or brown-black eyeliner (smudged a tad to give you a softer look) and mascara, some natural-looking cream blush if you don't have much natural cheek color, and some gloss. Good luck!
classic look is a balance of makeup colors

    intensity is medium

also wear matt lipstick matt blush nothing glitzy or shiny for the classic look matt eyeshadow

How do international flights make up for lost time in case of delay in departure?

I've seen that intl flights can easily start an hour and a half after scheduled departure time and still arrive on time. I read somewhere it has something to do with flying at different altitudes, but I am not clear. How do international flights make up for lost time in case of delay in departure?
pilots can do things to make up time, flying at a higher altitude may be one of those things because the air is more thin and the plane can go more quickly. What happens most often though is that the time that is given to passengers as the time in route allows for delays that may result from airport congestion, weather, etc. If the flight typically has a strong headwind it is calculated into the transit time, but the weather may be different that day.How do international flights make up for lost time in case of delay in departure?
    Hello there!

Incase of a delay or if the weather isn't helping, pilots can do a couple things to make up the lost time. This can include: flying at a higher altitude, increasing speed, consuming more energy/faster fuel burn=speed, and also bringing along less cargo will make the aircraft arrive sooner.

For foundation, I use Cover Girl Dream Matte Foundation in Creamy Natural and i love it! It looks natural and doesnt make me break out, it makes me look beautiful and fresh and its really light. It doesnt irritate skin either.

Face wash- AcneFree (at Wal Mart) its JUST like ProActiv, but for WAY WAY cheaper, but it works just the same. (this comes with toner and all the good stuff)

Eye liner- liquid works best, it stays on longer and doesnt smear as eaisly.

brush kits at wal mart do work, i have one myself.
NYC (New York color) for mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow (I use the stick kind of eyeshadow from NYC). It works really well and stays on all day. MaryKay brand for everything else. I love my MaryKay products, and I have everything other than the cover-up and the stuff I said to get from NYC from MaryKay. By the way, I really like my eyeshadow from MaryKay, too. It is absolutely AMAZING how long the powder stuff stays on.

  • How to start as make up artist with the best stylist?

I'm 'fresh' makeup artist and I really want to get some experiences with the best people within! How, who to choose and how to find the greatest? How to start as make up artist with the best stylist?
work at a dept. store make up counter or in a salon

then, as you're doing that build a portfolio by asking friends to be your models and do all sorts of creative things with their make up and either you or someone you know who is a good photographer, take pics of what you do and sometimes how you go about doing it

also, read up on different make up artists. i can recommend 2 that have published books: the late KEVIN AUCOIN and Revlon executive: ALFRED FORNAY.

once you build a nice portfolio and get some experience under your belt, you can start sending resumes and cover letters to places/people you would like to work for and study with. in your cover letter, request an interview. and even if they are not hiring as that they keep your resume and contact you should a position open up.How to start as make up artist with the best stylist?
if you get a job as a makeup artist for an acting troupe, or as an apprentice to a makeup artist, you will get a lot of experience an d meet a whole lot of people. good luck!
Advertise... I would post my information in department stores if you are able to. And word of mouth is the best advertisement. But I would really look into MAC stores. You get a lot of exposure there. And before you know it, you will be building a clientele
Get a job with MAC cosmetics. They train all of their staff.

You may have mad skills but take a course and learn all the basics and corrective techniques. Also i recommend that you buy Making Faces a book about the make up artistry of and written by Kevin Aucoin, who in my opinion was the best glamor make up artist ever!
Working in a department store for a brand like Lancome, Clinique, Chanel, Estee Lauder, etc. would put you out there and get exposure.

You could also find volunteer opportunities that while you will be helping others, you will be gaining valuable experience and networking at the same time.

What are some simple make up tips that will help me to look fresh & natural?

I usally don't wear make-up, but I would like to start wearing some that would make me look refreshed %26amp; natural.

I have dirty blonde hair, green eyes and a fair complextion. What colors would be good for me to wear? What are some simple make up tips that will help me to look fresh %26amp; natural?
I'd suggest wearing a light foundation or tinted moisturizer to give you a more flawless skin tone without being to heavy. Brown mascara and possibly eyeliner will help make your eyes look more refreshed. And try a lip gloss that is maybe a shade lighter or darker than your own lip color.

In the future you might want to try adding eyeshadow a few shades darker that your face (light brown) and a natural looking blush (peachy or clay color) once you get used to wearing makeup. What are some simple make up tips that will help me to look fresh %26amp; natural?
wear some powder if you need it (I do, shiny skin) and curl your eye lashes (with eyelash curler) and use a black or black brown mascara

not too much at all, just enough to make your eyes look nice
Powder/Foundation to fix any skin issues (breakouts, discolorations, shinyness, etc.)

Brown or Black mascara (that always makes a difference)

Blush (maybe a light pinky color) just to give you a fresh-face flush

    and lip gloss

and then you can experiment from there
First, put on moisturizer. Second, put on concealer. Third, put on powder lightly on your face. Also put a lightly brushed peach blush on your cheeks, chin, forehead, and nose for a natural glow. Then use a liquid eyeliner on the top of your eye lids only, dont put any on the bottom. Then use CLEAR mascara for a really natural look. Finally put on a nude colored lipstick or lip gloss. %26lt;3
Start off with lip gloss and a brown mascara, where it for a couple week, and see if you want to add on. :)

Mascara and lip gloss makes everyone look better, and vibrant. :)

What type of benefit make up should i get?

I want to ask for some benefit make up for christmas because i only get 拢5 a week and spend it on other things and never have enough for it because it all ranges from 拢10 up. Has anyone tried something (benefit) that you thought was the best for it's money??? What should i ask for? What type of benefit make up should i get?
I've tried several different Benefit products and my two favorites are...

    Benetint:

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

You can use it as either a cheek stain or a lip stain. It comes in a bottle that's about the size of a nail polish bottle. It has a consistency a wee bit thicker than water. I just use three drops on the apple of each cheek and blend it with a makeup sponge. It creates a beautiful, natural looking flush that lasts all day. Since a little bit of the product goes a long way, one bottle lasts me well over a year!

    Creaseless Cream Shadow:

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

This shadow is lovely! The colors are very shimmery and pretty. It's easy to apply with the fingertip, and the colors blend together well. This will last all day with absolutely no creases (I don't use a shadow primer and it still lasts without creasing!). Just be very careful that you cap it tightly after use. I ran out of the house the other day, forgetting to do that, and it is dry as a bone.

Mineral makeup always works. I, too am zapped by zits and I know for sure that mineral make up helped me a LOT! Try getting the brush on kind, the liquid isn't as good.

If you are asking why Mineral makeup works, it is because it has zinc in it. The zinc allows the makeup to stay atop of your skin rather than seeping into your pores like normal foundation (which adds to your acne).

Also, for the redness of pimples, put some visine (which is found in eyedrops) on it. It'll take away the redness in an hour. If that doesn't work, try some witch hazel.

    Hope I helped!

    XD Jakkii
covergirl is very good. and for those pimples if u put toothpaste on them everynight that will help them go away
Bare Escentuals mineral powder foundation works very well on acne prone skin. It also helps cover the redness and evens out the skin tone.

If you need more coverage, use a creamy concealer (Revlon or Covergirl) sparingly until the redness is reduced and use a full coverage foundation (Revlon, Covergirl or Maybelline) on the rest of the face.

When you have acne prone skin, you might need to get two types/shades of foundation instead of one for the entire face. If you can sample different types before purchasing, please check out as many you can.

How could I make bubblegum last longer? Or What makes up the flavoring in bubblegum?

I was wondering how to make bubble gum last longer. If I can please post the steps and the ingredients. If I can't do that then my question is what makes the flavoring in bubblegum?

Thanks! How could I make bubblegum last longer? Or What makes up the flavoring in bubblegum?
After 59 years and 30 billion pieces of bubble gum, Bazooka is getting an extreme makeover.

Gone, for the most part, is the rock-hard, squarish piece of gum with its folded wrapper and tiny comic tucked inside.

    BIGGER BUBBLES PROMISED

Replacing it is a twist-wrapped, rounder and softer chew that Bazooka officials promise will last longer and allow bigger bubbles.

And if messing with an American icon isn't enough, Bazooka's parent, the Topps Company of baseball card fame, also took on the gum's pitchman -- the mysteriously eye-patched Bazooka Joe.

For next month's official product rollout at the All Candy Expo at McCormick Place, Bazooka Joe was given wilder hair, a backward hat, ripped jeans and a multi-ethnic posse. It's all meant to give Joe some much needed ';street cred'; with today's kids, who are increasingly ignoring their grandfathers' gum, Topps says.

';We've had this little gem, and frankly haven't done much with it for a decade. It was dusty,'; said Paul Cherrie, New York-based Topps' managing director.

Touted as ';the most famous gum of all time,'; Bazooka has lost ground over the years to rivals such as Hubba Bubba and Bubblicious. Without providing figures, Cherrie acknowledged ';our market share has eroded over the years because we haven't been supporting'; the brand.

    Some things about Bazooka won't change, notably the original flavor that accounts for 80 percent of its gum sales. ';Not a chance,'; Cherrie assured. ';We're not going to do New Coke with Bazooka, that's for sure.';

    EYE PATCH STAYS

The comic inside will also remain, although it will now be printed on the inside of the wrapper to save money and trees. Joe's eye patch, given to him to add personality when he debuted in 1953, also stays. And the price will remain at 5 cents -- the same as when Bazooka was introduced in 1947.

The rest of the product is getting an overhaul, though.

    ';One of the things that was always synonymous with Bazooka was this rock-hard piece of gum,'; Cherrie said. ';While that is sort of quaint, it's not something that's preferred. . . . Nobody likes popping a piece of Bazooka into their mouth and having to gnaw on it before they can loosen it up and chew it.';

So Topps created a softer piece of gum with better elasticity for bigger bubbles. And the flavor lasts longer than the old formula.

';We all grew up with and remember how unbelievable this stuff tastes, but it tasted that way for about 30 seconds,'; he said.

Bazooka -- named for the musical instrument, not the shoulder- held rocket launcher -- is ditching flavors such as grape and strawberry and adding cotton candy and watermelon. It's also adding new gum balls and gum-filled pops. Topps will keep producing some of the old, square pieces, but the new design will be the product's centerpiece.

    Hi MGBubbles

    Your hypothesis could be

If the bubble gum has more X content, then it lasts longer

You should go to the store and look at the main contents of the 2 bubble gum brands you mentioned. Then make a list of the contents you want to investigate. For example, one possibility to investigate is sugar.

    Hence, ';If the bubble gum has more *sugar* then it lasts longer';

You should research and try to figure out which is the main ingredient of bubble gum that makes it last longer. It may not be sugar. It may be some additive for example.

    ALl the best.

[quote=minnie30567746]A way to find this out is to chew a piece of gum for as long as you can until there is no flavor left. Then compare the ingredients, likw scienceiscool said, and see which has the most of what in it. Your hypothesis could look somewhat like this:

Which brand has the longest lasting flavor, and do the ingredients have an impact on how long the gum stays.

Or something like that I can't really write hypothesises well. But remember to keep your mind open to any ideas!Good luck!

Mascara (try anything by covergirl they work wonders), a lipgloss that looks good with anything, bronzer to make you look tanner during winter, a pink-toned blush (if you're fair skinned it looks great--try peach-toned if your beige-ish), and foundation.
ok me also being a teenager i should know :)

    - foundation

    - concealer

    - eyeliner

    - mascara

    - bronzer (not blush if you have really pale skin)

    -lip gloss
As far as essentials go I would say

    *Concealer

    *Foundation

    *Blush

    *Mascara

    *Lip Product of your choice
    -oil-free moisturizer

    -concealer

    -foundation

    -bronzer

    -blush

    -mascara

    -eyeliner/eyeshadow

    -lip color
Well I think... since your a teenager...you shouldn't use too much makeup everytime...be more natural possible...

So start buying some lipgloss... different pink shades...

Some eyeshadows and eyeliners and offcourse powder... that's very essential...
foundation that matches your skin is a must. also buy some coverup.. even if you dont have blemishes, you never know. some lipgloss is good..no one wears lipstick anymore [unless you want to] mascara, eyeliner [ purple for brown eyes and black for other colors they bring out your eyes] eye coverup is a definite staple. some pale eyeshadow for school, and then some bright ones for night. and bronzing powder.
    clear lipgloss

    mascara

    powder for shiny places

    blush/bronzer

    eyeliner

that's pretty much the essentials. u don't need concealer, just use foundation on the spots if needed, but otherwise, just some sunscreen.
    - Foundation..prefrably a ligth coverage one. Get the person at the counter to match your skin tone to the foundation.

-Mascara, I have clear and black, as at school we can't wear make-up, so I use clear just to open up the lashes.

-Eyeliner. Black..and really any colour you would wear, try silver it's fantastic, even white as it opens the eyes.

-Lip Balm, ESSENTIAL! I am never with out it. Try Nivea Lip Balm, I use it everysingle day, and keep it with me at all time, I have even recommended it, to both my brothers :P and like 4 friends.

-Lip Gloss, I like the more subtle colours, like baby pink, I LOVE pink diamonds by Mary Kay.

-Tinted Moisturiser, I use this when I have to go anywhere at the last minute and I have no make-up on, and then I put powder on..although I usually wear foundation, I wear this when I'm not going anywhere important, like the hard ware store or something :P

-Powder, one that matches your skin tone or even a translucent one, that has no colour it just tones down the shine.

-Eyeshadow, find out what colours suite you best, propably more natural colours like browns etc I have a silver dust I always use, it sounds over the top but it's not, it's just perfect.

-Moituriser, Cetaphil is great for sensative skin, lots of celebs use it.

-Exfoliator, again get it from Nivea, I use it every 2-3 days, it gets rid of all the nasty dead skin cells.

-Face Wash, I use Clean and Clear facial scrub..I think it is. It's from clean and clear anyway, so it's good.

And One more main essential, which you could keep in your bathroom etc is MAKE-UP REMOVER!!!!

make sure you take all your make-up off properly (:

    I hope this helped...

How do I make up a 50mM solution of spermine tetrahydrochloride?

I need to know how much spermine tetrahydrochloride and H2O to use to make up a 50mM solution. The molecular weight of spermine tetrahydrochloride is 348.2g and I would like to make up 20ml. Can you explain how to do this please?

Thanks. How do I make up a 50mM solution of spermine tetrahydrochloride?
    50mM = .05M

    20ml = .02l

.05M means you have .05 moles of spermine tetrahydrochloride in each liter of solution. You need .02l solution, so the moles of spermine tetrahydrochloride you need is:

    .05M x .02l = .001 mol

The mass of spermine tetrahydrochloride you need:

    .001 mol x 348.2g/mol = .3482g

So you need to add .3482g spermine tetrahydrochloride in to 20ml of water.

What are good make up colors for a pale skin tone?

I'm not extremely pale, but I am pretty friggin pasty. I have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. I've always wanted to experiment with eye shadows and eye liners but I'm afraid they'll make me look literally ill. What are some good bright colors for my skin tone? What are good make up colors for a pale skin tone?
blues and greens as it will compliment your eye colour, if ur not 2 sure about using black eye liner go for brown or blue as they soften the lookWhat are good make up colors for a pale skin tone?
Use a bronzer it always looks so natural and pretty.
    HI JENIFER!

well wat i would do if i were u is exsperiment! I no ur probably thinking ive done that and it doesnt work and thats why ur asking this question! I have pale skin myself but i have blonde hair and blue hair. Try black eyeliner. ither liquid or powdered (like the ones that come in a container). Never use a eye liner pencil. Being pale skin u wont get the full effect u want. Now with ur eyeshadow. try purples, light browns (NOT DARK!) and maybe even a little dark green (light green will look funny) try more than one shade so u can c which looks best on u and which one(s) u like!

Also, if ur really stuck try going to a make up store like sephora. Ask a make up artist wat they would think would be the best. They might even give u a makeover to show u!

good luck and i hope i helped!

if u have any questions please email me and i would b more than happy to give u pictures of sum ideas!
Purples and med brown shadow on the eyes....bring out the color. Lite purple on the lid, brown in the crease and light beige on the upper brow. Dark purple eyeliner.

    Remember less is more.
I have pale skin and have tried every color possible! The only ones I didn't like were red (just looked weird!) and blue (I have naturally drk pink lips and it looks terrible together!). I use white often only on my lid...it makes your eyes look bigger. I also like the way bright green looks with my skin. Orange is okay if you don't use too much of it! Just a line above your eye, I put mine in a line above my eyeliner. Yellow is very daring to wear under your bottom eyelid. It makes your eyes stick out and is still pretty. Purples look nice with white skin too, they would look really pretty with your brown hair and eyes. I've only used purple a few times...I'm personally not a purple loving person! lol. And of course, black (but not too much!) is always very sexy....its gives your face a nice contrast.
There are lots of 'tinted moisturizers' out there. From the sound of your question, it did not seem that you want to use a full strength foundation. Clarins, Neutrogena and Estee Lauder all make really good semi-foundations: that is, they are light and transparent, but give a healthy glow to the skin.

Powder bronzers are also a good way to go. since your skin is light, begin with the lightest bronzer. Unlike a lot of blushers, you can use bronzer on cheeks, forehead, bridge of nose and eyelids. Not only do you get a healthy color, but one tone over your whole face is flattering without being obviously made up.

If you like that look, you can experiment with self-bronzers. They go on like a cream or lotion, give you a glow within a few hours, and last 5 days! Be sure to wash you hands after applying or your fingers will look orange.

If you just want to use eyecolor, try using dark powder eyeshadows as eyeliner, applying with a thin, slanted brush. Use deep purple, navy, eggplant or brown to line just the outside half of your eye. Use dark brown or black mascara and you should have smouldering, not deathly, eyes.
Maybe the peachy shades. Stay away from the plums (for darker skin and hair), pinks (youll look like a babydoll!), and bronze colors (too fake with such pale skin). Forget the eye shadows too. Just use some nice eyeliner and a coupla coats of mascara. As far as lipstick, again, choose peachy colors (blush too). But the best thing is to experiment with colors.
I am very pale and have used everything from bright green to hot pink. Get one of those eye shadow boxes from one of the big department stores and sit in front of the mirror and experiment. Make sure to do the rest of your makeup so you can really determine what looks good with it. My favs are pale greens with champagne colors. Sometimes I mix in some brown to darken the look. Good luck.
    use bronzer

What brands of make up are good quality but not to pricey?

I'm kinda new to make up and need some suggestions on what brands I should buy and where I can get them. Nothing expensive though. What brands of make up are good quality but not to pricey?
I love Covergirl foundations and eyeshadows. The foundations come in so many different natural skin tones, it's absolutely impossible not to find one for you. The eyeshadows come in hundreds of fun and youthful colors. They play up any eye color and eye shape.

I love Victoria's Secret lip glosses. They smell really good and are a popular brand.

The best blush comes from Neutrogena. They also have the best face washes and face rinses for morning and night. What brands of make up are good quality but not to pricey?
Love Loreal, same makers of Redkin and Lancome :)
MAC is the best you can get for pretty cheap if you cant afford much... theres even revlon if you can only get to a department store though, which is probably the best you will find in a store like that.
well if you want makeup that is no pricey ur out of luck but i do know a place that is kind of cheap it is called sophora
    MAC cosmetics are amazing:)
I used to use expensive products, like Lancome and Clinique.. lately since I've been broke I am using Neutrogena's make up products and I love it!!

What kind of make-up should I wear with a purple dress?

I am have a brown complexion, jet black hair and brown eyes. I wanted to know what color shadow should I wear. I'm planning on wearing either gold accessories or silver. I tend to have dark circles under my eyes so the smokey look wouldn't cut it. Any advice? What kind of make-up should I wear with a purple dress?
blue/purple makeup would look so cute.Or natural peach tones too. What kind of make-up should I wear with a purple dress?
If it is a dark purple dress... then you can do a smoky eye. You should have gold Accessories.

If It's a light purple dress... then you could do either gold eye shadow or light purple. You should do silver Accessories.
    purple eyeshadow...silver accessories

What are good make up colors for white skin tones?

I have brown/blonde hair brown eyes with a tint of green in the sun and white skin. I don't think face shape and cheek bones matter but just in case my cheek bones are high and my face is oval. What are good make up colors for white skin tones?
honestly, you can wear any/all colors! do whatever you want %26amp; be creative! i have a medium-tan complexion %26amp; enjoy playing with all kinds of shades.

i'm guessing your talking about eyeshadow colors though? just make sure when you apply to blend everything so there are no harsh lines. What are good make up colors for white skin tones?
    try pale colours

for blush try a light beige
Well, you need technically light colors. Since u have white skin u don't need that dark make-up to make it show (it would look strange if your make-up was too dark). If u put on light colors it'll be enough to show because of your light skin (like a dark skinned person wearing dark colored make-up to show it off). So u can do all kinds of styles of make-up as long as they're not that dark, everybody loves to have a natural side.
    ivory
    all warm colours

    silver,white,black
I have the same colors and features as you but I just died my hair red. Your best bet with eye shadow is to put a shimmery sand or taupe color all over and then stick with the brown family to highlight in the crease or you can even go to a brownish/pink. Use brown/black/or burgandy eyeliner on the top only because if you line the bottom, your eyes look smaller. And only use black mascara, even if you dont have time for anything else, use mascara to brighten your face, I use Revlon for mascara, its the best. For all over face coverage, I use the bare minerals in the lightest colors, its good so that you can blend to match your skin tone. For lips, if you are younger, use gloss, brownish/pink, berry or neutral colors. Always use a lip liner first, I use love my lips or NYC 951a, they are close to neutral with a hint of a berry color. Hope this helps!!
nothing to bright or bold be kind of safe, im the same way u r but my eyes r blue i wear pink shimmery eyeshadow from mary kay and i wear eyeliner and mascara and pink gloss that makes them look pouty but not so much that it blinds everyone who looks at you ! l:ol!!!!
use a brown liner and light green shadow all over lid w/ a dark green in the crease

How would I make up a study to study the effects of poverty on people?

I need to do a ';pretend'; study of poverty and how it wears on people.

Maybe a survey of random people in poverty??

How would I make up a study to study the effects of poverty on people?
you can look out how poverty effects the social and cognitive development of children in poverty

Or how poverty might have an effect on more violent or aggressive behavior

Or the effects that poverty can have on self-esteem and sexual activity and how that can effect the prevalance of more teenage mothers or the contraction of STD's

Or how poverty can increase suicide or suicidal thoughts.

Or the effects poverty can have when it comes to prejudice, discrimination, in-group and out group differences in society etc...

There are many things aside from these ideas that you can do. Check out pscyhinfo.com or pubmed.comHow would I make up a study to study the effects of poverty on people?
    1. review the literature

    2. from this review develop your own research questions to make the connection between your summary of this literature and then to conider what similarities and differences ther might be between 2008 and earlier times?

    3. the best research on poverty has been based on participant observation so work out how to spend two or three days being as poor as the level of poverty you decide on- eg your indicators might be homelessness/,eating at soup kitchens/attempting to get social security support/asking your lecturer if you can borrow her books because you can't affort to buy any/etc

5.a) this could be a risky method so consider how you can ensure your safety/whether you really are keen enough to do it.

b)Alternatively your idea of a a survey is OK but it would have to be a purposive not a random sample . (for a truly random sample you would need a sampling frame -a comprehensive list of all the possible people who represent your population-- which is pretty likely to be non existent for 'poor people') You'd also have

-to work out how to define your key term 'people in poverty' and then -how to find them and then

-how to persuade them to talk with you.

Its a d ifficult project and one I'd not recommend for a minor paper

6 Your best bet would be to do a 'meta- analysis. This is the term used for a review of all the recent studies you get can your hands on..then pose your research questions to these documents.

nb If you enter the 3 words 'correlation poverty and' into Google you will get lots of useful web sites on a vareity of effects of poverty. I've posted one useful site below to get you started.

    Whatever you decide -Good Luck
There's been enough studies done on this subject that you could probably get plenty of the information you need just by doing some research on them. See if there are documentaries you can watch, as well, because seeing it makes it much more real and brings it to life much more than just reading about it. This is something that has been documented so indepthly that I'm sure you'll find many resources of information on it which will be very helpful to you. If you choose to do a random survey of your own, don't expect much. Most people are very private and don't want to be questioned about their situations. Most of the studies done took months or years to complete. Good Luck!
well, i think you should throw a well-done steak in the middle of a downtown area and see who gets to it first. if the homeless get to it before rogue dogs... thats one hell of an effect poverty has on people.

that sounds good and maybe record in on a chart or something.

  • How can i make up a character and a short story to go with a costume?

I have made a costume and now i need a character to go with it. The character has to be a hero or a villain (good or evil) and it has to have a very short story to go with it. My costume is black and plastic with colored stickers on it and i want to put sequins or foil or something on it. Please reply, thank you.How can i make up a character and a short story to go with a costume?
A black plastic costume suggests a hero in black leather - a bit damaged and cynical, but determined to fight evil nonetheless. Awww! The character would work for a female too.

So you are a member of a street gang that means well for the neighbourhood(taking care of orphans and providing money for medical care, and trying to take down the other street gangs which do drugs-violence-misery), or of some extreme religious order that fights off the forces of evil from taking over the world. make the costume appropriately - the street gang one would need some buckles and tears, and jeans underneath, maybe some fake tattoos. THe religious order one should look like a robe, which will allow freedom of movement, and a shiny belt/girdle. A full-length sword would be nice - you will be armed by God to halt the powers of evil persecuting the world.

Hope I helped. You can add some more details to the story as you like. How can i make up a character and a short story to go with a costume?
just use your imagination! and honey, take the stickers off. be creative, put like pearls on them or little diamonds. make it scrunched up like the bottom of Belle [from beauty and the beast] dress. put a petticoat under it. if she's going to be like a princess hero or something.

villian? then go with something like She-Go wears in that show Kim Possible.

How do freelance make-up artists go about finding work?

I am seriously considering a career as a make-up artist. To work on film + tv programmes as well as fashion shows + photoshoots. I plan on taking a course as I am a complete beginner. But I'd like to know, if any of you are in this field, how do you go about getting work? Are there agencies out there? Or just making contacts somehow? How do you do it?How do freelance make-up artists go about finding work?
I have a makeup artist for 20yrs. I have freelanced with photographers, fashion shows, all that you mention. I started out and tell everyone who is interested to go to a department store and apply for a cosmetics position. You will make great conatacts, the companies will train you for free and you will learn everything about the industry. You will have to a lot of foot workto do, Have a portfolio, go to modeling agencies with cards, find out what 1/2day and full day rates are for your area, be dilligent, on time, and professional. Most photographers will ask you to do more than just makeup, like hair and styling with clothes,ect... It will be a lot of who you know. This is why I say to get into the cosmetics departments. Not only will you learn but you will make money as well. Many of makeup artists in the departments moonlight with freelance until they make a name for themselves. How do freelance make-up artists go about finding work?
Go to the high school hang-outs around prom time and homecomming alot of those girls needs someone to help them with their make-up. Let them know that you can help and voila thats that.
by word of mouth. friends, friends of friends and so on. start making contacts that way.

How many watts make up a good set of speakers?

I am a Music Producer making beats from my home studio. Anyhow, im planning on investing in new speakers that will benefit me in my music production. I want to know what ammount of watts would be a good ammount to create and MIX quality beats. Help me out here, thanks. How many watts make up a good set of speakers?
ima answer this question first by saying to check out this site

    http://www.lboogzproductions.com/yourstu鈥?/a>

to get your information about getting some good speakers. his beats sounds good so im sure he knows what his talking about.

but from my experience i say get the best that you can cause your going to want to hear everything that you can so you can make the mix as high quality as possible. BUT IF YOU HAVE NEIGHBORS BE CAREFUL WITH GOING TO LOUD BECAUSE NEIGHBORS WILL CALL THE POLICE ON U!!!! How many watts make up a good set of speakers?
If you really want to be a music producer, you need to understand your equipment, I suggest you REALLY read into it, dig through articles in wiki and google. There is a TON of information on speakers. Sound quality is not just about the Watts. SPL (Sound Pressure Level) for example is much more important. Watts is just the power the speaker uses. You need alot of Watts to push a brick but it wont sound good.

You need to look at such things as speaker sensitivity (rated in Db's) and you need to know the range of frequency for your speakers. Is your room big or small? are the speakers in a sealed box or ported? BandPass? crossover? Too many things to ask or explain. it's going to take you some time, you need to know the tools of your trade. Get some efficient speakers and start at 1000Watts (it's a solid baseline for beats) but you might need alot more depending on the number of speakers and the size of your room.

Does anyone have make up tips for the very financially strapped woman?

I am looking for tips on make up that is good and very reasonably priced. I am 27 years old, with brown eyes and brown hair, if that info is necessary.Does anyone have make up tips for the very financially strapped woman?
I am financially tight too, and cosmetics tend to be outrageously expensive (!) so I buy alot of cosmetics on eBay. You can find them MUCH cheaper there, even the pricey brands. And sometimes you can find lots of items, like multiple bottles of foundation for a good price, or the like. I stock up this way, since money is tight and this is more economical.

www.eyeslipsface.com has all kinds of cosmetics at remarkably good prices - $1 apiece. It's like a cosmetics dollar store. I haven't used their stuff yet, but at that price, when the budget is extremely tight, it would be worth a try.

I have found www.makeupalley.com helpful as far as rating what cosmetics are the best buy...they provide detailed ratings/reviews on tons of cosmetics, about both how good they are and their price. They also list some very cheap natural substitutes for cosmetic skin care...some of which, according to the rave reviews of other ordinary people like me, work extremely well. (I've tried some of them and regularly use one such item - lemon juice mixed with water instead of the pricey hydroxy-acid skin regenerating/cell turnover cosmetics....for my skin-beginning-to-age at 30!!) You can also ask questions on their boards, like the one you asked here, and get some answers from people who love to try and talk about makeup.

Also I've looked up on google ';discount cosmetics'; and ';cheap cosmetics'; and searches like that and found some websites where you can buy cosmetics very inexpensively...you might want to try this.

One thing I will recommend that is fairly inexpensive is L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. That's one of the best drugstore mascaras and I think it's about $5.99.

    Hope this helps you!!

IDoes anyone have make up tips for the very financially strapped woman?
If you have a ';marketplace'; (it's the actual name of the grocery store) in your area, they have Jordanna makeup, which is like, a dollar makeup, but actually pretty good quality... or even the dollar stores carry some makeup, but be careful what you buy there... they can either be really ugly, really broken, or really cheap quality... I actually found some of my favorite cover girl eyeshadow at the dollar tree not that long ago... There are other brands that are slightly more expensive... but you can find them at just about any fred meyer, safeway, etc... Wet N wild brand are pretty cheap... or NYC... You just kind of have to shop around... but remember, you get what you pay for... I would reccomend at least buying a good foundation... the rest can be cheap... Good luck!
Since makeup is so damn expensive, my only idea is that you should always wear mascara, if nothing else. Nothing looks worse than when a woman is wearing eyeshadow and eyeliner and no mascara! You can wear mascara without other makeup though. That's all I wear and it looks fine.
if your really strapped for cash i find that a mascara lipstick and concealer if needed help...also a pot of vaseline works wonders..it can be mixed with lipstick for a not so made up look on lips and also on the cheeks for a little glow..you can use it to tame and groom eyebrows too.
You don't need to own alot of makeup.

A foundation, bronzer, mascara and a lipgloss. I use the bronzer for everything haha

The two makeup brands I wear are Revlon and Estee Lauder (that is expensive..). Revlon Fabulash is the best mascara I have ever owned :O!
Yous should splurge on these products, as they last quite long : Foundation, cream eyeshadow and Lipstick.

However, you can go skimp on all others like lipgloss, eyeshadow and concealer (they dont really make a difference to the price)

What kind of make-up should a guy wear onstage?

I was wondering what kinds of make-up a guy should wear onstage. Any other tips would be great appreciated too. What kind of make-up should a guy wear onstage?
Foundation goes on first. It鈥檚 very thick, heavy cream and should be a little bit darker than skin tone. Two colors can be blended (the lighter one going on first) if there鈥檚 no color that鈥檚 appropriate. Darker (but not excessively dark) is always better. Start the foundation at the forehead and blend up to the hairline. Then cover the rest of the face, including ears, eyelids, and the neck. The neck is necessary so it doesn鈥檛 look like a mask. On guys, the entire neck (back too) is sometimes done, but this is messy. After the general foundation, a lighter color goes over the shadows under the nose and on the chin.

After all of the foundation is complete, the blush is done. Choose a rosy color (paler for men) and streak it over the cheekbone. Blend down and up, about halfway down the cheek. On men, it should look naturally rosy. The blush is also (very slightly) blended over the nose and onto the forehead. The blush will almost always be darker on women than one thinks at first. This must be visible to the audience from under the hot stage lights.

Next is the eye makeup, which is the most complicated part. First a very white 鈥榟ighlighter鈥?is used along the brow bone (right underneath the eyebrow) and under the eye. This should be well blended so there are no white streaks, but the area is lightened. Next, a color that鈥檚 a little darker than skin tone is brushed over the eye, just above the eyelid but below the brow bone. This is also blended beneath the eye. Over this, an even darker color is put along the top of the eyelid and is blended downwards. It also acts as an eyeliner, but only on the top of the eye. On men, this may be enough for eyeliner. After color is on, line the eyes with dark brown or a similar color. Black should never be used unless the character is very dramatic and needs wild makeup. Last, mascara is put on the top lashes. Try putting the wand into your lashes and blinking 鈥?this makes errors less likely.

After this is lipstick, which is fairly simple. For men, choose a color which is only a little bit darker than their usual lip color. Lip liner should match this. Liner and lipstick can be put on in any order; it depends on the individual鈥檚 preference. Make sure that the liner goes on the outside of the lips, and not outside the natural line. This will look fake. Liner can be used over all the lips before lipstick is put on to make it stick better and last longer. Lipstick should fill in the lips completely and be dark enough to be seen from the stage. Up close, it should look garish and unrealistic, like Halloween wax lips. In men, it should be slightly more natural. They shouldn鈥檛 look like they have makeup on when they鈥檙e on stage.

Last, loose powder is dusted over the face. Dip a large brush into a jar of the powder, then shake it to get most of the powder off. Not doing so will result in a large white streak over the makeup that鈥檚 just been done, and will ruin it. The purpose of this powder is to secure the makeup in place and make it less likely to run when the actor sweats on stage. What kind of make-up should a guy wear onstage?
Ok, I'm a certified makeup artist, but have a theatre degree... I can answer this question easily. There are a few things to consider however. What age you're supposed to be, the size of the venue, the type of lighting you will be under.

In a small house with very little bright lighting, you can get away with just some mascara and a little bit of a neutral lip-colored lipstick.

If the lights are bright and/or the house is much larger, you may need a bit more color. Eyeliner in brown is always suitable for a natural male look. Not dark enough to truly read like eyeliner but dark enough to add a touch of impact. For an even more subtle look try to add small dots along the lash line instead of a full line. You can throw a white pencil liner in the inner rim of your lower eyelids to widen the look of your eye.

Foundation should always be your natural shade. Darker or lighter will look off. Liquid and creme foundations tend to blend into skin easier than powder foundations. Because powder foundations are dry, they aren't as readily absorbed into the skin and so under bright lighting (just as in flash photography) it may simply reflect light and make you look more pale than you actually are.

Blush should be used anywhere the sun naturally hits you (cheeks, nose, forehead) as well as your jawline if you're hoping to enhance it. Adding pink or light orange color in this way makes you appear younger. If you're looking to age yourself, use browns instead.

Lips should be a neutral shade. Most likely you don't want anything too glossy.

Eyeshadow isn't entirely necessary. But if you want to use some, something like a simple matte pink and/or pale brown.

Write me if you have further questions.
    For basic make-up:

Foundation that matches your skin tone. I recommend first applying a light layer of liquid/mousse foundation and then dusting your face with matching powder foundation

Eyeliner on your bottom eyelids (a rich brown or black)

A little blush on your cheeks (make it a subtle color, not pink)

A natural color lipstick (only apply a little, and rub lip balm on top to make it last longer)

I'm in theatre at school, so I've seen guys apply make-up (with us girls helping). Have fun!
The same as a girl, stage makeup only makes you visible to the audience, without it you look blank, all the makeup does is make your features stand out so that you can clearly be seen.
white complete face, thick eyeliner, and red form the mouth(to look like you have blood coming out of your mouth
Try a light neutral color that just brings the colors out in you. Remember makeup on stage makes you look normal ( if you do it right ) because of the bright lights.
Okay here's a shopping list for you:

Foundation, Black eyeliner, White Eyeliner, Brown Eyeliner, Blush, a very light lip gloss, a sponge and hairspray.

The White/Brown eyeliner are for wrinkles, Blush is for when your playing a kid, Sponge is for giving you a five a clock shadow and you spray the hairspray on your face after you've completed your make-up. If you want more details you can e-mail. me.

What dog breeds make up a miniature pincher?

My mom and I were talking about our dog, which a miniature pincher, and she told me that they are made up of 5 different dog breeds. Is this true? If so, what dog breeds is it mixed with? What dog breeds make up a miniature pincher?
The Miniature Pinscher is a purebreed, so it is not a mix of breeds. When it was being developed in the 1800s, however, various terriers, Dachshunds, German Pinschers and various other breeds were used. What dog breeds make up a miniature pincher?
I get so annoyed when people think they are a mini dobie. They have great personalities. They are a big dog in a tiny dogs body , so don't let them roam free (obviously this goes for all dogs,, but they get into trouble since they are so brazen). They make wonderful watch dogs. We love ours! Report Abuse

the reason to research is apparent. the ';best answer'; is totally incorrect. The breed was created in the late 1500's not 1800's and is derived from crossing a smooth coated Dachshund with an Italian Greyhound. They are not in any way related to the Doberman nor the German Pinscher. ask a breeder... Report Abuse

Purebred dogs originated from blending different bloodlines, however, they are not ';made up'; of different breeds in the sense that you cannot breed 5 dogs together and get a Min Pin. It is a purebred dog, and the past hundred generations have been purebred Min Pins.

Dachshunds and Italian Greyhounds are believed to have contributed to the original bloodlines. No other breeds are recorded as having been included.

They are NOT related to Dobermans, contrary to popular belief. Pinscher means ';biter'; in German and is a surname given to many of their breeds, including the Affenpinscher, German Pinscher, Doberman Pinscher, and Miniature Pinscher. Each breed is unrelated, much the way we use ';terrier'; or ';setter'; to describe a dog's purpose, they use Pinscher. The word ';Miniature'; is deceiving because they are a stand-alone breed and not a miniature version of any other breed.
I was just reading about the breed. One interesting fact is that the mini was around way before a regular Doberman Pincher! Interesting, huh? I'd google the breed or ask a breeder (check your classifieds). I do know the breed is VERY hyper and hard to train. They are cute and it's cool how they look like little mini Dobermans though.

  • How do you make up with your cat after a visit to the vet?

I asked a question earlier about getting a cat into her carrier. But now I'm wondering about the after-vet, upset feelings she may have. (My husband took her to the vet, and they're gone now.) Once she stayed upset with me for like 2 weeks after a move.

Any suggestions? How do you make up with your cat after a visit to the vet?
After the vet, we give our cat some of her fave things to eat--crunchy treats, a little milk, and freshly cooked chicken for dinner. She may sulk a little at first, but all the tasty goodies make her mood improve very quickly. How do you make up with your cat after a visit to the vet?
    Try tuna.
I give my cat his space and he usually gets over his snit in an hour or two. Definitely by dinnertime.

Moving is much more traumatic to cats - since he gets to go back to what he considers home after the vet, he'll calm down more quickly than after your move.
Treat! That's all it took for me. That and putting the carriers out of sight.
    cat nip and time
After a move, it can take cats a while to adjust, so that is perfectly normal. I remember one time when my husband and I moved, one of our cats hid under a chair for 2 weeks! Just give your kitty her space when she gets back from the vet. She may feel a little overwhelmed, so lavishing her with attention may excite her or be too much for her to handle after a visit to the vet. Even if it takes her a little while, she'll come around- just let her do it at her own pace.
well shell get over it. cats are very frgiving but just dont try to approach her yourself. let her come to u
I have nine cats and a trip to the vet is always upsetting and in our case nine different ways. The one thing I always do is wipe the cat down with a pet wipe (the others hate the new smells) and then we get some very nice treats - the attention is what they want. We talk to our cats and as much as some people hate to believe, cats understand and we care very much how they feel. They may pout or sulk a little but we get back to normal fairly quickly with some special attention. They give us a world of joy and their start in life are nine tragic stories.
    pet her alot
My cat makes up with me a few minutes after we return from the vet.
Bless you hon. all cat owners go through this. after a few years I got wise. let them sulk. If you pander to them they remember believe me and in the future ANYTHING you do they make you suffer. The cats little walnut sized brain is all devious and learns quickly.

Despite what I have said as soon as they suss me out my moggies discover more ways of making me grovel to their will.

short term memory is an illusion.

    forgiveness is an illusion.

    you are toast
don't worry, cats have very little short term memory, you cat was upset after a move because of the constant reminder of the new surroundings. A trip to the vet is usually forgotten completely after about an hour until the next trip to the vet and kitty sees the carrier.
give her catnip that may work thats what i do
Mine initially would be pissed at me for about a week, but over time, and taking them on more car rides (just around town- they LOVE to look out the windows, and walk around the car), they started getting over it within a few hrs.

If you can, try to just take her for short (5 min, or until they start getting really uneasy- panting, etc) car rides at 1st, and gradually increasing it until they can get into the car without anxiety, and wait for the crate till you get to the vet.

Maybe my cats are just easy, but this has worked with both of em.

I started one when he was a kitten (3 mo or so), and the other when she was about a year. Both are great now.

What kind of make up to use to get fake silicone breasts to blend in with chest?

I have these fake silicone breasts that glue on. They are pale, but don't match my chest therefore I can't show them. What kind of make ups could I use? What kind of make up to use to get fake silicone breasts to blend in with chest?
well you HAVE to go waterproof. otherwise... well i'm sure you can imagine the disaster. embarrassing! What kind of make up to use to get fake silicone breasts to blend in with chest?
Wow, good question. Make Up For Ever's Matifying Foundation has a lot of shades, so you could look at that. I'm not sure how it would look on silicone though. If that works than use an oil absorbing powder, something like a translucent one, Laura Mercier, Nars, TheBalm.
I would just say try to go tanning in a tanning bed and maybe it'll blend better, cause lighter skin tans faster than darker.
hmm thats pretty hard to tell, id need to have more information the situation...maybe a pic of what exactly your trying to do?

ya i have a round face too that looks kinda wide- take a angled brush or contouring brush- use a bronzer or contouring powder- and suck in your cheeks- and use the powder to contour your face- by applying the powder underneath your cheekbones- or the hollows of your cheeks- to sculpt your cheeks, and make your face apear less round- then blend it in a downward direction and to get rid of harsh lines- youtube face contouring or google for better instructions or more details=)What can you do with make up that makes a round face look slimmer?

Oh and if you have any tips for my eyes while your at it I'd of course appreciate it!What are some make up tips for round eyes?
Ha-ha! I have round hazle eyes nd I am 14 too!! I use a brownish purple eye shadow. What I do it I put cream foundation over my eyes and then sweep some eye shadow over that,(light not to heavy) then I use massara and clear or light pink lip gloss. I hope this helps your sister!! byeWhat are some make up tips for round eyes?
Basically when it comes to eyeliner what you want to do is make it ';blend'; in not to the point that it's faded but just enough to look like it wasn't painted on.

after you apply a stick eyeliner to your bottom lids wait about 10 seconds then smudge it using your finger (gently) orr using a eye shadow brush to smudge it

for eye shadow you can try a neutral beige tone just to highlight your eyes and if you want eye liner on your top lid liquid looks best. what i usually do is first use a eye pencil on my top lids and then retrace it with liquid eye liner. this helps it from becoming uneven bc the pencil is easier to control and easier to trace

btw i've started an advice column on youtube about questions like this. if you want to check it out and comment whatever other questions you may have i'd be glad to answer them. :)

Why not just go natural, it's easier on your skin and hair in the long run. Ever wonder why people who wear a lot of make-up have so many wrinkles when they hit 40?
    Egotistical much?
I think if you have a round face, you could use a little cream blusher to give a cheekbone effect. If you have tanned skin (lucky you), then you would look good with red coloured lipsticks.

I think you would probably suit a few golden or red-toned highlights put into your hair. You can just have them put round the edges of your hair near your face if you want. That always looks good.
keep the color but curls would look really look good on you i think that way in my opinion really thick locks of curls

You haven't stated you age, but I'm guessing you are reasonably young. With your colouring, aim for dramatic jewel-tones or rich, bright colours near your face. Avoid blacks and browns, except as skirts or pants. Teal, magenta, royal blue ... you can likely wear them all. If your skin has a yellowish tone, avoid yellow and orange. If not, feel free to experiment with the primary colours, individually or blended.

Make the most of your dark colouring by wearing very little makeup. If your face is quite round, you might want to contour the cheek area. Definitely emphasize your eyes, with a little eye-liner and mascara through the day. Wear blush only on your cheekbones, or you'll look like a Kewpie doll.

As for your hair, keep it as it is. And scrupulously clean. From what you've written, it's your best feature. ...Lucky you!
    fringe?
I wouldnt recommend a fringe on a round face, may make your face look fat, however layers around the sides of your face could look nice, as could more texture/layers throughout your hair. very short hair might also not look so good.
Try this site virtual face thingy?http://www.hairstyleswatch.com/try-on-vi…
If you have a round face, then try curling ur hair, (if it is long).

But defininitly dont get a perm. Because that is pretty permanant, and you wouldnt want to spend your money on a style that you dont like.
We all don’t have the “perfect” facial structure. That’s why we need face shape makeup tips. These tips will help each of us apply makeup to bring out our best features and minimize the ones that we don’t like so much. So, whatever your question is about your facial shape or facial features, we’ve got a makeup tip to help you.

    The Tools

First, it’s important to realize what tools you’ll be using. We’ll make use of color correcting correctors. Light color correctors can dramatically change your appearance. For instance, mauve or light pink corrector can brighten and conceal dull skin tones. Pale green is used to correct ruddiness. Light yellow corrects under eye circles and other purplish/blue discolorations.

These light colors can help improve facial features by lengthening, filling out and brightening skin. Dark colors will reduce, deepen, darken and conceal features and discolorations. Using a mixture of light and dark correctors (foundations) you can create almost any illusion you like.

The key is to blend, blend, blend. If you are using any corrector, whether it’s a color or a foundation that is darker or lighter than what you usually wear, always remember to apply with a light hand and blend well. The light foundation corrector should be only 1 or 2 shades lighter and the dark foundation corrector should be no more than 2 shades darker than your usual color.

    Face Shape Makeup Tips

Find your face shape makeup tips below.

Oval: This is the “ideal” facial shape. With the use of dark and light correctors every facial shape can be made to resemble an oval facial shape. Oval faces can need darker foundation applied at the forehead and chin to make it less severely oval.

Trapezoidal: This facial shape requires refining the lower part of the face with a darker corrector while also using a light corrector at the temple. This will bring the face in, making it more narrow and longer.

Rectangular or Square: Correct both of these shapes with darker foundation at the four corners. This redefines the corners into more of a curve, giving it a whole new dimension.

Triangular: The triangular face needs darker foundation at the chin, making it appear shorter, and at the temples, bringing the focus towards the middle of the face. Using light foundation along the jawline will give it more balance and depth.

Round: Round faces need only a little darker foundation applied at the temples and around the lower face. This will make it appear a little more elongated.

    Balancing Your Features

Face shape makeup tips also include your facial features. If you’ve got a feature you’re not too fond of, like your nose or chin, playing with light and dark correctors can help you adjust how they look. We’ll give you the makeup artist’s tips on how to do this.

Prominent Chin: Correct this by applying a little darker foundation right on the tip of your chin, and blend well.

Double Chin: If you have a double chin, blend a darker foundation right on the double chin.

Long Nose: Think your nose is too long? Apply dark foundation right on the tip and blend well to make it appear shorter.

Broad Nose: Broad noses are easily adjusted with dark foundation applied down each side of the nose.

Short Nose: Short noses need a light application of light foundation along the whole top of the nose. This will give it a less defined edge and help it to appear less short.

Narrow Nose: Widen a narrow nose by applying a light foundation down each side of the nose.

Crooked Nose: A crooked nose is the hardest. Apply dark foundation on the crooked side to minimize it, and then apply light foundation on the opposite side.

These tips will help you achieve a balance to your features. Face shape makeup tips are some of the most useful tips you can have. With them you can look your very best while still looking like you.

What kind of make up is good for oily and full of acne skin?

I have cystic acne, the really bad kind. I have scars as well and im really sensitive so I cant just use any type of make up. Any suggestions on which products are good for covering up and wouldnt cause irritation? What kind of make up is good for oily and full of acne skin?
If your skin is oily it's real important to use a foundation that's oil free. You want to select a shade that exactly matches your skin tone. Foundation is designed to cover flaws and even out skin tone.

For active acne, you need to keep you face as clean as possible, and not use a heavy feeling foundation. Try a concealer stick that's about 1-2 shades LIGHTER than your foundation for good coverage. You can put on either the foundation or concealer first, and then just blend, blend, blend.

For summer I life to use a tinted moisturizer. It feels light, but still covers what needs covering. Most makeup brands offer a variety of products for different skin types. Make sure that whatever brand you choose, you select a foundation that's oil-free. Puting oily makeup on an oily face doesn't provide good results. What kind of make up is good for oily and full of acne skin?
have you tried the minerals? Sheer Cover is good it is really light and the concealer covers really well. Only thing is I've never seen how to buy just the pieces you need and not the whole kit. I got mine for Linen and Things

What colour eye make-up looks good with dark blue eyes?

I really like my eyes so I wear a lot of eye make-up. But I can never find a colour to suit me! Black is no good 'cos it clashes horribly with my skin tone! Any tips welcome. Also please state if your referring to eyeliner or eyeshadow or whatever. What colour eye make-up looks good with dark blue eyes?
If black is too harsh, try a toned down black, or grey. i have dark eyes too, and fair skin, i either do that or browns and tans. What colour eye make-up looks good with dark blue eyes?
These quick and easy steps will help you choose the perfect eye makeup for those beautiful blue eyes.

    # Choose an eye shadow that complements your blue eyes. Shades in the brown, rose and violet families are best. The warm hue of these shades contrasts with the cold tone of your blues to really make them pop. Use a shade that is darker in tone than your eye color to make your baby blues shine.

    # Select a brown shade of eyeliner. The harshness of traditional, black liner will take away from the natural beauty of blue eyes. Choose a dark or medium brown liner to highlight blue tones.

    # Use brown or brown/black mascara. Any mascara will naturally open and brighten your eyes. However, a natural, brownish shade will do it without drawing attention away from the blue color of your eyes.

    # Apply a light or neutral tone blush and lip color. Keeping the rest of your makeup minimal will naturally draw attention to your eyes.

    # For a smoky, sultry look use dark, grey tone shadows and liners that do not compete with the blue of your eyes.
    To look more awake

light eyeshadow on innereye (near tearduct)

white eyeliner on bottom rim of eyes

CoverGirl Advanced Radiance foundation makes my face look brighter, younger and more awake

curl lashes with an eyelash curler (at base and curl in middle, hold about 15 seconds each time)

    eye makeup

look at almay section in drugstores/target/walmart to see which colors they recommend for your eye color, then if you want buy those colors in a different brand, like Maybelline since it's cheaper. I have blue eyes and I love sunlit bronze (the four color one) by Maybelline. I'm been using it for years and always get compliments on my eyes because of it. It brings the color out wonderfully

I first put wet and wild eyeliner (black) underneath the shadow to make lashes seem fuller and darker. Since it's under the shadow it just looks darker, but if you mess up the eyeliner line it's fine since no one can actually see it. It blends nicely with sunlit bronze.

I then use dark blue eyeliner on the lower rim, but only on the outer half. This prevents it from looking like it's too much, and makes your eyes look wider/bigger.

    Things i recommend

max factor volume couture or stretch and seperate

the waterproof mascaras by maxfactor are really really waterproof, which is great for summer time, but the downside is they are pretty hard to get off your lashes, but they DO define, give a lot of volume and length so I guess it's worth it.

    Maybelline sunlit bronze eyeshadow

burt's bees or softlips lip balm

neutrogena sheer block sunscreen 55 is a keeper!!! but, if you want a daily moisturizer I recommend neutrogena healthy skin moisturizer spf 30 or 45!!

wet and wild eyeliners 鈥?cheapest, but work well

CG advanced radiance restorative cream foundation with a makeup sponge (at target)- blends really nicely and matches my skin tone perfectly! I'm 19 so I don't need the restorative part, but it was on sale lol.
When picking eyeshadow colors you should use color theory. And the colors that are going to make your eye color pop is the complimentary color, the complimentary color of blue is Orange, so anything with an orange hue is going to make your eye pop so burnt browns, ambers, orange-green, etc. Here is mor information on color theory. http://www.color-wheel-pro.com/color-the鈥?/a>
I have a friend who has dark blue eyes, and her eye make up always looks fantastic. The trick is wear a blue eyes shadow a darker shade than your actually colour and this immediately bring out your eyes.Taupe, grey, violet, and purple are also eye shadow colours that suit blue eyes. x

Brown works...but you cant try all different colors just to see. I have blue eyes and green looks really bad on me. I try and wear browns but I also love blues. You can try silvers and greys since black is too harsh. Also try going to a trusted make up counter and see what they say.
I have light blue/gray eyes and all i wear is pinks/smokey/purples...

but...I don't see why those wouldnt work. Have you tried tans? There is the prettiest tans with shimmer in them at MAC.

I always do a hot pink over my entire eye lid...then in my crease mix a dark purple with a gray shimmer...then a highlight on my brow...and of course MAC ZOOM LASH mascara! ITS THE BEST!
i would actually never wear green. Dark browns really bring out blue eyes. If you live near a Sephora, there is a brand called ';PoP'; that has eye shadows tailored for blue eyes. It's only around $30, which is good for eye shadow. I would never wear blue shadow with blue eyes.
i think you should do a thin black line on top of your eyes

then do a darker brown in the corners and then go out lighter blending it in

it will make your eyes stand out :)

    xx
hmmm, well i love Barry M makeup!

so nip down to Boots or Superdrug, and have soem fun trying out makeup!

Or if you dont live in england try just going into a Makeup shop and having a little play around with your friends!
